Hello, my name is Anabrese and I've been living the raw food lifestyle for about 6 years now. I love going online and sharing recipes and chatting to other raw foodies.

Here in Scotland, raw food is beginning to become more popular, it's been good to meet other people who are passionate about this lifestyle. I gave my first raw food prep class in April and had 7 people turn up (the max for the space was 10). I really enjoyed sharing what I had learned so far and helping others to create wonderful living food.

Anyway, it's nice to be here and I look forward to speaking with you.

Woo hoo!!! That makes me happy! Someone closer to me now!!! I am so excited! What part of Scotland are you from? I am in Northumberland, UK. I have been hoping that there would be more people in this area soon! I don't have anyone to do potlucks with!

Would you be interested?

Welcome, Bree! I lived in Sweden for a few years and can't imagine doing raw there. The fruit and fresh vegetables were insanely expensive. The quality wasn't that great either! Maybe Scottland is different. 6 years seems like such a long time...that's excellent! Glad to have your expertise here.

Hello and thank you everyone for the warm welcome, it's lovely to meet all of you.

Dakinimind, I always think of Sweden as being a clean, healthy place that would be open to alternative diet practises. Where are you now, hope it's better for raw for you.

Rawdrop, sounds like you would like to maybe join our group 'Raw In Scotland (http://www.giveittomeraw.com/group/rawinscotland)'
We are having a raw potluck picnic at the end of the month and workshops have started in Glasgow if you're interested? There are some people in their first year raw and full of enthusiasm for potlucks and meeting up! There is also a raw cafe in Edinburgh that people often go to for chocolate cake!

Martine, that's super you'll be in the Highlands, I would like to hear how you get on.

FrugalRaw and Spicyful, thank you for the well wishes and I also wish you much love and fascinating discoveries on your journey into raw.

;)

DevonHen - John told me you were eager to meet up with some Live Fooders... maybe we could connect and have a chat while we're over there? :D I'm ALWAYS eager to make new friends in new places, and ESPECIALLY when they're RAW!! :D

Also, a question for my new RFT Scottish friends: is it better to rent your own little car in Scotland or take public transportation, cost-wise? John is trying to figure it out online and it all seems a little confusing...
