So this lady, Roz Savage (http://rozsavage.com) from the UK, is going to be the first woman to row the Pacific Ocean (she already did the Atlantic one, pish  piece of cake!). She even has a podcast on TWIT (http://twit.tv/roz1). Her FAQ hints that she's a raw vegan:
1. What do you eat?
“On the Atlantic I ate freeze-dried meals, wholefood snack bars, biltong - and an emergency supply of chocolate! I also sprouted my own beansprouts so I had fresh, crunchy vegetables. My nutrition worked well, although I ate too much in the way of sugar, which was fine while I was burning 5,000 calories a day but not so fine when I got back to dry land. I’d lost 30lb on the crossing, but within 6 months I’d put it all back on, and then some. After a long struggle I’ve finally kicked my sugar addiction, and this time I’ll be taking LaraBars, which have no added sugar. I also hope to rely less on the freeze-dried foods (although I’ll be taking plenty with me), and more on beansprouts and rawfood snacks that I’ve prepared in my Excalibur dehydrator. I’ve really cleaned up my land-based diet since I turned 40, and I want to maintain my new good habits on the ocean. Yo-yo weight fluctuations are not good for my body.”
She's so inspirational to me right now, I wanted to share.
