...and I don't mean that awful stuff in the can! LOL!
But lately, we've been getting hit with a lot of spam here on the board again. Thankfully it's not the really nasty stuff like the porn pictures that used to get posted here   (knock on wood)
I thought we had the problem nipped when we implemented the "Captcha feature" where people have to enter the word found in the box upon signing up. Apparently it worked for the spam BOTS...but not for those poor individuals who have nothing better to do than to sit around and post this crap (excuse my expression, please).
Many of you have been really great about reporting it to us once you see it and we greatly appreciate that!
Just a word of caution...please do NOT click on ANY of the links in those suspicious posts...you never know what could end up happening or what could be put on your computer as a result!
Also, when reporting the spammy post, you don't have to say, "reported"...just report it by clicking on the little icon that is a triangle with a red border and an exclamation point in the center of it, located in the top-right corner of the post in question.
It's easy to mass delete the "Reported Posts" in my inbox and I've found a way to quickly and easily mass delete the posts even when one person has posted a lot of them in various threads. But it sometimes is a task to have to locate and delete the "You've been reported" posts by you guys! :)
So, again, thank you for helping us out by reporting them and keeping RFT a safe and clean environment for us all!
