Hi to all the wonderful Raw Foods Folks,

I have tried to search for breakfast food recipes and have not been successful.
I am advocating for my Dad who is eating raw.

Any help with breakfast recipes or where and how to find them on this site will be MUCH appreciated.

My best to all,

I have found the more I eat raw the less I have set meal ideas. However, I typically start my day with some freshly extracted juice, or a Green Smoothie, a fruit smoothie, or even a piece of raw pie or Ani Phyo's raw Mango Cobbler.

Best of luck,
Heather

My toddlers like the apple/buckwheat porridge in Alissa's book. It is heavier than what I like for breakfast (green smoothies!), nice and creamy.

My husband likes my meusli, which I mix with various dried fruits (diced apricots, raisins, dates, etc), quinoa, rolled oats (not technically raw I suppose), and raw sunflower seeds, soaked overnight in the refrigerator in whatever "milk" you like(hemp, cashew, almond). Then in the morning you can grate an apple or slice a banana over it. Very tasty and filling for a man. I store the meusli bag in the freezer to keep the grains/seeds fresh longer.

Some of the cookie recipes would be good for breakfast with a cup of herbal tea or something. They are not supersweet and draining like eating a Mrs. Field's for breakfast would be...

My favorite breakfast is a green smoothie. Before I started green smoothies I had fruit for breakfast, or soaked grain cereal w/ fruit.

avocado for breakfast works really well for me. you can add sea salt or nama shoyu or agave or whatever spices, but it usually keeps me full with really stable energy past noon.

In the blender:

2 bananas, frozen, in chunks

juice of 3 oranges

1 heaping tbsp cacao powder

Agave to taste (usually don't need this)

This is SOOOOOO good!! :)
