I've been getting really soft, moist ear wax in my right ear all of a sudden. Is this part of detox? Is it like oozing out whereas before it was stuck deep inside? Don't mean to be gross.

I get this when it gets really hot or humid...I have been using ear candles lately though and they do a great job of cleaning it all out, so haven't noticed much wax lately...

I suppose anything and everything could be chalked up to detox, so sure...could be that too

I personally believe that all bodily excretion is detox. This includes feces, urine, sweat, pus, oil, earwax, flaky skin, and mucus.

Just use a Q-tip. It works for me.

Q-tips should not be used inside the ear. It pushes the wax in further and could potentially be harmful in other ways. Just clean the outer portion of the ear and don't stick the Q-tip inside.

Coconutcutie: where can I purchase the ear candles?

Yes, this is a detox symptom.

I tried ear candles some time ago, and concluded that they do not help with ear wax problems. There are plenty of websites debunking them, here's an example: http://3rdarm.biz/images/shucking1/earcandling/earcandling.htm.

It's easily fixed: twice a day lie on your side and pour a few drops of warmed olive oil into your ear. Rest for 10 minutes, then do the same for the other ear. After a week if your ears haven't cleared up, then get them syringed by a doctor. This involves gently shooting warm water into your ears. It always works for me, and the relief when you can hear clearly again is one of life's great pleasures!

Best wishes

Pete

Ear candles work for me. I really don't care what debunking sites say - it's definitely wax coming out of my ear and going into the candles. Not to mention that my discomfort and hearing is vastly improved after candling...

Getting ears syringed by a doctor again can be equated to sheer torture in my book. However I'm sure the doctors are happy to accept payment for something that can easily be taken care of at home :p I have had it done numerous times and find ear candles to be far more comfortable.

RawSinger, candles can be purchased at any pretty much any health food store, or of course ordered online.

I agree. I think humans have the capability to be a lot more self-sufficient than many of us think.

Thanks for letting me know where to get the candles; I'll check out my local HFS.
