Hiya everybody i'm Patch and i'm nearly 26 from England.

More about me: Well it's not a good tale if i'm honest, i've been very sick since I was about 18 and pretty much lost any semblance of a life and thus most of my twenties which is very hard to deal with. I'm almost always housebound and very very weak with a whole host of problems that never leave me alone. Eventually I was diagnosed with MS but doctors seem to acknowledge there's more to it than that but they could never find out what, and gave up! lol. I've spent any savings I ever had on various treatments, therapies etc. that were sure they could help but have never done anything. The only thing I now stay with is a form of advanced homeopathy because it helps control viruses, infections and parasites that prey on my low immune system.
I've had a couple of nutritionists but they seem to work to a set structure that never yielded any joy for me since I don't eat hardly any meat and am not very good at eating natural foods. (as) I'm a definite hypoglycaemic but i'm getting a handle on that now! lol

Why Raw: Well i've been trying and trying for over a year now to go 100% raw and i'm finally in a place where I feel I can do it. I've done a few weeks but am currently falling badly off the wagon for reasons i've posted about in the discussion forum that have made it very hard to understand where to go and what to do. I have so little energy that I have to be very careful just how low and weak I let my body get so i'm in a bit of a vicious circle right now.
I know that being 100% raw is a very good way to get MS to plateau or even reverse so i'm determined to get there and regain some years. I haven't eaten white meat or dairy for about 5 years, I now add bread to that list. I'm fairly gen'd up on food and the problems associated but I just struggle with it as I can't read long essays or take in and hold a lot of information so I could really do with someone to take me under their wing, so to speak. I'm sure if I can get it right, I could make so much progress.

Anyway enough of all that babbling on, I hope you guys are all doing incredibly well and it's nice to meet you all :)

The best mentor to have is Alissa's book and DVDs. Plus green smoothies. You've come to the right place!!! I wish you luck on your raw journey!!!

What kind of support are you looking for? An email buddy? Someone to give you tips and ideas or encouragement?

Pretty much spot on, someone to bounce things off of who's in reach, tips and ideas as to how/what/why.
I've semi-read several raw food books but the info doesn't always stick, and I think often someone who's been through it already is the best way to get really on board with things. Especially if you can find someone really easy to talk to and get along with and understands your situation.

I have to agree with veganforlife....Alissa's book and DVD are like having a mentor at your finger tips. That plus being able to ask questions on this forum are about all you'll need unless you want more. Good Luck.
