Apparently my partner in his moment of wisdom believes he has proof that eating mainly fruits and veggies as opposed to a normal diet of 'processed crap' is really not good for you.

The reason:
Well due to unforseeable circumstances I ate cooked all weekend with very little fresh fruit and veges.
It affected me by:
--> the skin on my face was quite sensitive and my nose is quite blocked up
--> I woke up absolutely famished in the mornings to the point of feeling very shaky and sick in the stomach despite the heavy rumblings in my tummy.
--> even though I was full (from eating crap) I still felt hungry (as my body wasn't getting the nutrients it needed)
--> general lack of energy and motivation (I now Know why he enjoys lying round watching tv all day - no energy or motivation to do things).
This is how I did feel before going high raw I just forgot about it.

So this morning I mentioned I was sick of feeling like this due to the food that I have been eating. Partner thought that if this is how I feel when I'm eating what 'normal' (by societies definition) people eat then obviously eating mostly fruits and veges can't be that good for you. Go figure  Personally I thought it was proof that what I was doing was right not wrong.

Sorry for my ramblings but I had a good laugh to myself about the irony of this and had to share with some like minded people.

Hiya Zeeraw!
That is pretty ironic! You're absolutely right in your evaluation of the situation. He'll come around to it eventually (or maybe not...), for now just keep going with your plan. The best way to help others understand the benefits is by being the best example you can be and living your life the best way that you know how!
It's pretty great to have this kind of lesson, isn't it?

It almost falls into the logic of learning to drive drunk, ya know? That way there would be less drunk driving accidents? Or maybe I am way off.....

I don't understand the way that people process some of what to me, is the clearest of pictures. Anyway....

I am currently living this situation as well. Boyfriend doesn't feel any different when eating good or bad, but does sit in front of t.v. upon wakening and before sleeping. I finally reached that point where I don't care what he says about it anymore. I just eat what I want. Funny though after I read and showed him pictures of plaque from the intestines he is more than willing to cleanse them.

Yes these lessons are great aren't they. Before going into raw I never had any major illnesses just those things we believe that is normal - bit of excess weight/lack of energy etc.... So sometimes I don't notice all the benefits I have gained from increasing raw foods until I do something like eat cooked food and its like yeah I remember that's how I used to feel. Its also great to make the connection between what you eat and how it affects everything else. THis weekend I ate crap so guess what i felt like....crap! Logical enough.

Where did you come across these pictures? On the net/in a book?

I just started reading a book called, "cleanse and purify thyself," by Richard anderson. That is where I found the pictures. I bet you can find some on the net. Look up mucous plaque in the intestines. Nice way to start the morning eh?
