Anybody want to comment on their exercise goals from last month...
I will..
The toothache really set me back in terms of my jogging goal. I wanted to be able to jog 15 minutes consecutively by the end of last month. It didn't happen but oh well, I'm going for it this month. I'm determined though...
My goals are:
-jog 15 minutes by the end of this month
-increase pilates to at least 4 times per week
-increase mileage on the ellipticals while at the same time decreasing time it
takes to do a mile (currently averaging about 2 miles in just under 40
minutes on one of the elliptical machines I use at the gym

i'm hopping aboard!
i want to do 30 mins of cardio 5x a week and a quickie ten minute workout everyday to get me pumped!
i am at a healthy weight, but i really need to add exercise into my life and be able to tell people that i exercise when asked hahaha.

I've been biking a lot these days -- but my dog doesn't get to come along for that so this month I'm hoping to up it a notch by keeping up the biking but also walking a LOT more so the furry Boli doesn't get grumpy!

It's been so so nice out lately, i've been riding my bike every day:D it's supposed to be 80 degrees all week:) today i rode for an hour and 10 minutes, i wanted to stop and turn around a few times before i usually do bcuz i was tired but i pushed through that and i'm glad i did. i feel great now. i also did yoga and a short strength training video for arms.
committed to at least 30 minutes of exercise a day!
my goal is simply to get fit and be healthy
i do have 15 pounds to lose, tho:rolleyes: :D

Goal is to exercise every day even if it is just a small walk. I do plan on being more rigorous in my exercise, but I find that if I have "must do"s placed on me then I usually fail--probably a fear-of-commitment issue, no? LOL Anyway, that is why I will be happy as long as I do something each day.
So, yesterday I did 30 minutes of cardio. Right now, I'm about to start a 45 minute Firm workout--hopefully I won't pass out or get knocked in the head by my flapping biceps!
Stay strong everyone!

"hopefully I won't pass out or get knocked in the head by my flapping biceps!" :D LOL!
Ok... first of all, I am going to pat myself on the back for completing last month's challenge--which was to exercise at all! Now, Ive joined a gym and have a regular routine. Congrats to everyone else as well!
My challenge for June is to continue with my weight lifting and cardio routine 3 times a week, plus add at least one extra day of just cardio.
I started yesterday and did 50 minutes on elliptical and stairmaster combined. I also hope to attend a pilates class once a week--but we'll see. Maybe when school is over in a week or so.

Hi Everyone!
I've been missing-in-action due to my tooth issues. Had the big day at the dentist today- I started feeling some pain and decided not to do my outside walk after all. I might throw in some pilates later tonight if I feeling okay-we'll see.........

Okay-
I didn't feel up to it yesteday and ended up in a groggy sleep the rest of the evening - so I didn't fight it. I feel great this morning after the dentist and I'm definitely making up by doing some cardio today. I think I'll be going to the gym and doing the ellipticals for as long as I can stand and I'll read my chapters for class tonight.
By the way, I love everyone's goals. This thread helps me to stay motivated, keep it real, keep it simple and not fall into my "all or nothing" modes...
Have a Great Day!!!

I know I'm a few days late, but I'd love to jump on the exercise wagon, too.
My goals for this month:
Yoga 3x a week
Taekwondo 3x a week
Lunges, squats, stretching at home.
I'm master cleansing right now, but my energy has been good. I'm on Day 3.

I was wondering if you used a certain tape for the bellydancing. I'm trying to find a really good belly dance workout video since there are no classes in my immediate area.

I did strength training at home today with my bar and my own body weight...
Worked out earlier today at the gym.
1 hour of step aerobics with resistance training
Just an interesting thought I had today. When I first started working out I used to hide in the back of the aerobic's room so no one would see me not being able to keep up (or the screw ups). I just realized today that most of the time I end up being in the front of the room now and I generally can keep the pace with the majority of instructors. Wow what an improvement. It is pretty cool now that I think about the change! :D
Thanks Lavender

I like Shimmy. I comes on fitTV. It's not the ideal way to learn bellydance but it's definitely the most convenient and beautiful. They sell DVDs if you don't FitTV.

Late night check-in. I had a great challenge at the gym today. I put myself to the test and did the BootCamp class which I haven't done in ages.... I can't even begin to name all the never-ending drills - jumping over things, endless squats, lifting, etc. I haven't hurt or worked up a real sweat in a long time. I also did a 30 minute hard core class which is basically all about the abdominals...

Good Morning Everyone!
I started early today and treated myself to ...
15 min med ball workout
20 strength training with dumbells
windsor pilates for abs
windsor pilates for buns and thighs
Not sure my body thinks it was a treat but it'a a new year of life today on my day of birth and it beats chugging down fries and mike-n-ikes like i did so many times in the past. Now if I didn't have to do all this ripping and running today with thoughts of gasoline prices in the back of my mind....
Have a Great Day!!!!
Today’s exercise: 40+ minutes
20+ minutes of circuit workout with weights
20+ minutes of high/low with abs

Joining a little late, hope that's all right. To get moving today did the Turbo Jam Cardio Party and the Standing Abs part of the Abs Party first thing this morning.
Yesterday I used my TJ weighted gloves and did jump rope movements for 15 minutes, with some short breaks, because I go tired!!
Glad to be here to be accountable for exercise too!!

I didnt do any formal exercise today. I went to Six Flaggs and we stayed until about 30 minutes before closing. I think with the exception of about 30 minutes we walked the entire time (unless standing and waiting for rides). I guess I could kind of count this as exercise today.

Hey now...where is everyone?
I didn't do anything on Sunday - rest day. I didn't do anything yesterday because I was so backed up with work that didn't get done over the weekend (because of six flags and father's day celebrating). Today, I will do something....

Happy Early Sunday Monday!
Had a super workout yesterday...my sister, nieces, nephew and I went on a nice 2 hour trek on the paths outside from around 9 - 11 (before the heat became to unbearable) I also did some strength training and a little cardio on the elliptical just because.

Well, Saturday's exercise was a 1/4 mi warm up walk, then a good 1 mi trot, and cooled down walking another 1/2 mi. I didn't think my mile time was too good at 14:40, but then again, I haven't trotted in a year.
Sunday is an off day. The ground is just too wet for trotting today and the house has some fumes from my oven that we are trying to get out of the house. Be writing my workout down in the morning though!
Have a good rest of the evening.

Tuesday - blah day - no exercise
Wednesday - Turbo Jam Punch Kim & Jam and then did some more upper body shoulder-bi-tri exercises with free weights
Trying for 5 days exercise per week.

Well-
I've been so busy that I've been missing in action a lot this week and lately. Sorry everyone...I knew it was going to be like this near the end of June. It seems like there is so much going on I can hardly keep up with everything - deadlines-deadlines-deadlines....
Doing some strength training tonight and if I'm really push my self, I'll shoot for 20-30 minutes of cardio.... I'll report later tonight.

I didn't get to jump back online last night but I did do some strength training...
Check in later today...this is "redemption weekend" in terms of exercise...my sis wants to do some serious bootcamp drills or cardio challenges so we'll see what today and tomorrow hold.
Today’s exercise: 49 minutes of hip hop abs
lavender - it is so nice you have a workout partner (your sis). I am sure it helps push you harder when you have someone to workout with.:D

Morn-
I think she has passed me up - she's like you...gets it in no matter what:D I got to get my "groove" back....too many deadlines has caused me to slack off a lot this week
Today’s exercise: Swam 50 laps in the pool
LavenderJ - its all good. Really there is different seasons for our lives and sometimes it is just not possible/feasible to do it all. Just do the best you can do. If it weren't for theads like this one for accountability I don't know that I would be so on track either. I think it is a reminder for me and gives me that extra push I need cause I want so badly to post that I did do something in the exercise department. It really is a part of my lifestyle now.
I will tell you though that I need to bring more of a balance to my life by bringing in and spending more time feeding the spiritual me. (I know that you know what I mean). To be whole we need a nice balance of everything mental, spiritual and physical. I think I need a nice bible study to motivate me.

So here we are...
the last day of the month
How does everyone feel? Any revelations? Did your outcomes for this month match up with your goals?
Life is really busy right now..so I'm still working toward that being able to jog for 30 minutes without a break goal...
I still need to work on increasing strength and flattening this tummy some more - the never ending challenge:D
I feel pretty good though. I'm glad that I have motivated my sister to embrace a high raw journey and get fit...she's is really losing weight
Tomorrow starts next month.
Just got home a little while ago; going to throw in a quick 30 minutes
