Yeah, just wondering. I really love dancing. It's fun and a great workout, and you don't really feel like you're working out. Plus, it's not just exercise; it's a skill. I would really love to gain flexibility and strength through dancing but I can't afford dance classes. Which dance workout videos do you reccommend? TIA

i love the goddess workouts, the nina & veena (don't think i spelled their names right) videos & the carmen electra videos....they are more on the "sexy" side, not belly dance, but they are really fun & the toning one is really good =0)
i was just given the yoga booty ballet one, too...but i've yet to try it....let me know if you try any of these & how you like them!:)

I agree with docsharp, Turbo Jam seems just like dancing (especially with the great music!) and the time just flies by! :D

I've tried Turbo Jam and really like it. Yeah, I would call it "dancy" not dancing. The only problem I have with it is I find it hard to remain in the proper starting position (my back straight, my tailbone tucked under, my legs perfectly spread, my knees perfectly bent, etc.) I think because of this, the last time I did Turbo Jam my back hurt the next day. So did my legs from kicking so much, but I'm sure this will all change once I get in better shape.

Thank you for all the suggestions, everyone!

It's not a video but I got the Dance Party Revolution game for my xBox 360.

It's a blast, definately a work out and you just keep dancing song after song until your done. I find that I'm still doing it an hour later with no problem.

I, of course, live for Zumba which is why I'm getting certified to teach. Spin I do for the exercise ~ Zumba I do for the rockin' dance party. Lots 'o booty shakin' goin' on at my gym. You can also get DVD's but I've never seen them so I can't vouch for the quality. They are included in my workshop certification on July 26th so I can let you know after I get them and see if they are as great as a live class. I'm getting pumped just thinking about it! :D

Never heard of it but here it is and it looks like a very erotic BLAST!!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vf0q6qtThF4 Notice the guys can't stay focused?

I'd be willing to Zumba w/ Erick... if I could keep up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTE9vSe5CXQ&feature=related

Might have to get some dvd's. Wonder if Erick's got some for training. :D

I love dance videos! Especially since I am a single BUSY mom and cannot attend dance class like I would ultimately love.

One of my favorite series I just "discovered" is called core rhythms. It is created by this woman Julia Gorchecova who is a PHENOMENAL latin/ballroom dancer. Girl is IN SHAPE and her workout rules. I'd actually seen her in action during a ballroom dance competition before I'd even heard of the video, but it helps you feel like a professional when you do it.

But, it ultimately depends on what type you like. Is there a particular style?

Thank you so much everyone! A lot of the workouts you mentioned look really good but I think I'm going to buy Core Rhythms (at some point). I'll keep you updated on my results :)

Revvell, thanks for attaching those videos. I just got done watching a Zumba infomercial - I thought the workout looked a little intimidating. But seeing the videos here made the workout look intense but not so intimidating. I am so out of shape I have to do something soon!
