We're coming up on June...summertime is coming...time to get ready for those bikinis and short-shorts! LOL!

Summertime is a GREAT time to get started with raw as there are SO many delicious fruits in season and what better way to stay cool on those hot days than to eat fresh, juicy fruit, drink smoothies, make raw ice cream and the like?

So, if you're ready to go for it...to commit to 30 days of raw eatin' for the month of June, just check in right here!

Then, when June arrives, a brand new 30-Day Challenge will commence!

oooh me please!

oh and question... does it have to be 100 % raw? i have tried raw eating before and have done the challenges before but i feel if i go super strict then i am more likely to give up! hahaha. basically, i'm not a perfectionist :p

Please sign me up. I've been trying to go raw on-and-off since, I believe, February and have spent the whole of May preparing myself (and my family for their support) for a summer devoted to getting myself (body, mind, and soul) in order. Since having children and now going into my 9th year of homeschooling them, I haven't given myself permission to just have me time in a very, very long time so this is a big deal for me. I find it hard not to give all of myself to my family, so I know I will find it hard to be a bit "selfish" this summer, but this is something I have to do. So, hopefully, with all of your help, this time I will succeed.

Good luck everyone!
M

I'm in again. Last month I was able to go the first 9 days 100%. After that I'd get a day here and a day there. So, now I am intending on making it the full 30 days this time. ;) Of course, One day at a time ;)

Many Blessings for our Strength, Love, and Endurance in creating our Vibrant Health!

I'm in. It'll be good to have some people to vibe with and check in. YES, juicy lovely summer fruits! Maaaaaaan, I'm just waiting to see that guy that always sells natural seeded watermelons on my way home....reminds me of the country because he has this big old truck and sits by the side of a Baltimore city road. Mmmmmmmm.....and I've been raw this past week and the weather finally seems to be staying warm so I'm totally psyched! Looking forward to you-pick-your-own fruit too, esp. blueberries. :D

Well, I mean, the whole point of the 30-Day Challenge is to eat 100% raw for 30 days. But if it's a personal choice to do like a slightly lower percentage, then that's your prerogative however, per the rules of the challenge you CANNOT post your cooked food in the raw challenge discussion threads/posts. Only mention what raw foods you've eaten in the daily threads. Any cooked foods, you can document in your personal journal if you have one set up...but please do not post them in the 30-Day Challenge Daily Threads. Thanks!

I'm in for the June Raw Challenge. The longest I've ever lasted 100% raw was 90ish days. I've been a fairly dedicated cooked vegan for the past 2 years, but nothing made me feel as good as those 3 months raw vegan. For whatever reason, I feel motivated to make the commitment. Are we supposed to post before stats somewhere?

thats cool, i can do that!
i am going to eat 100% as much as possible...
i just feel that if i have to eat a tiny bit non-raw to stay as much raw as possible, it will work better for me in the long run till i can fully do it. :o if that makes sense at all...
best wishes to everyone!

Zuri! Thank you. (are you on fotki?)

Uno mas!!!!

I made a delish cauliflower soup last night. mmmmmm. I'm excited about soups.

half a head cauli
handful of cashews
1 carrot
water
herbs
salt
miso
and then a bit of cucumber in slight chunks
(all in the vita mix)

it was SOOOO creamy and yummy and fulfilling. I think it will really be helpful for me. For those who get tired of salads or want something filling in the evening and warm, try soups. They're still raw, just use warm water or keep your vita-mix on for a while to warm it up. And there are ENDLESS possibilities. Avo's work well to add creaminess and heaviness as well.

I hope thats helpful. I'm really looking forward to starting a new chapter together tomorrow everyone.

Stay in touch!

Congrats Carlsbad!! Thats awesome.

Zuri, there is a website called Fotki, and there is someone on there with the name ZuriBunti. And I thought you two might be the same. =] I was always real cautious of soups as well, mainly because of the ingredients that are popular in recipe books. But, now that I've given it a try, I'm all over them! It was soo pleasant. You can make potato ones as well (I've done that in the past). Raw ones. Just soak the potato in water to help eliminate some of the starch and use warm water.

Welcome Kimba!

Welcome to the June raw food challenge!

If you are not familiar with how these work, you basically just document your (RAW) intake each day (a new thread will be created by me each day), how you're feeling, etc and give and get support.

Per the rules (sticky posting) you are not to post your cooked food slip-ups here in the challenge threads - those are better suited to your journal and if you're really having a time of it and need some help with cooked food issues, please post about in the main Raw and Living Food Discussion forum area...but please, not here...thanks!

So, have fun and have a wonderful day!

Today so far, just a lot of green smoothie (boston leaf lettuce, green powder, cherries, apple, pear, coconut oil)... Am leaning towards basil-pesto on zucchini pasta for dinner tonight... It will be my first time making raw pasta!

Going to the coop tonight, and have lots and lots of yummy treats planned for this week, and LOTS of salads.

Have a GREAT rest of the Sunday everyone, and enjoy your raw yumminess as we approach beautiful summer!

I've been looking forward to June 1st because I am raring to go with reclaiming a healthy me--body, soul, and mind. I love the "In It to Win It" slogan that, I believe, LifeAGift posted earlier, and I'm going to try to think of that anytime I feel like I'm wavering.

Started today off well with a green smoothie (2 glasses worth, want to work up to 4 glasses), fruit salad with pistachios, Larabar, and macadamia nuts. I am hitting that time of day where I start craving cooked stuff, so I am drinking lots of water and am going to exercise. Hopefully, that will keep me satisfied until dinner, when I will have Spanish scramble with avocado in a scooped out tomato and then make some blondies/walnut fudge.

Good luck everyone!

Hi Everyone ~

Starting another month and it is so helpful for daily accountability. I also write in a notebook and maybe someday I will blog but baby steps on world wide journaling:D !

Not feeling hungry today so have had a grapefruit, a few onion bread crumbs , raw hummus and green beans. OH ~ :p What am I thinking I made Grezzo's chocolate cake. In fact I cut the recipe in 1/2. I put in the fridge for a little while and WOW it is awesome !! Next time I get a cocoa urge I may try to make the "frosting" but add some chopped nuts and put in little cups (perhaps find a small candy mold) , put in fridge to harden and bingo just pop in my mouth. The "frosting" would also be perfect for dipping berries into .....YUM!!!

Rawkinlocs~Thanks for being our faithful moderator and diligently starting each day with inspiration!

RawSinger~Let us know how your horseradish dressing turned out please !

Mendt~Love your weight loss treat. Great idea.

Okay fellow rawbies let's have an awesome month !

I am new to the raw food way of eating (I officially began just two weeks ago), but am determined to do my best at this 30 day challenge.

So far I had a green smooth made with spinach, fresh pineapple, and banana; raisins with soy butter; and sprouted grain bread with a slice of raw onion on top...I was craving onions for some reason.

I plan to make another green smoothie for dinner, but this time I will add freshly ground flax seeds. I will eat some raw trail mix for my evening snack.

I look forward to learning from the rest of you...

Have a great day guys!

Checking in.

This morning I made a smoothie of 2 peaches, greens from the garden, 1/4 cucumber, handful dried blueberries, tsp maca, tsp hemp protein powder, 2 dates, and water. It wasn't that good, but I drank most of it. My boyfriend woke up wanting to make this big breakfast of eggs and hashbrowns. But when I said that I wasn't going to eat any, he asked "well what are you going to have then?" I said a smoothie. "Oh," he said, "can you make some for me too?" So there was no breakfast temptation. That was nice. =]

Then he, our two furkids and I went on a crazy 4 mile hike, and I started my period today. I was not feeling to great on the way back down. Lunch was good though. Bacon avocado, endive, peach salsa (homemade, raw), and tomatoes sprinkled with sea salt, seaweed and sesame seeds. It was really yummy. Then a peach (crunchy and yummy) and an apricot. It was a great lunch. And water. Oh, and some pomegranate apple cider (not raw, but I don't care).

Dave is now making some grilled cheese that he was going to have with some left over raw soup I made, but there is some really weird green stuff on the top. So I have to make some new stuff. Oh well. I'm not having the grilled cheese, but I'll be making another soup tonight.

So far, I'm doing great and feeling fine (minus the horrible cramps).

Enjoy yourselves everyone!!

Hey guys, I'm psyched up to do the challenge. This accountability really helps me. I did fine this morning without coffee, just a little slow and stupid! I have so much healing I want to do that I'm digging deep into my emotional resources to make this committment.
I've been eating a high raw diet, so detoxing should be minimal, me hopes!
I made four different flavors of raw granola bread and it really helps to have some snack food around for weak moments.
best of luck, Everyone!

Today was fabulous! My first official challenge day and my 16th day at 100%!!

I woke up late and stretched bfast out over a couple hours having a honeydew melon, a mango, some blueberries a few cherries and an apple w/ cinnamon.

Lunch was an apple, some carrots and a little chocolate spread yumminess...

Dinner was two small tomatoes and two small avocadoes.

No greens today :( Which isn't so good, but tomorrow I'll be more balanced since I'll get up at a reasonable hour!

But it feels pretty darn good to have gotten through 16 days at 100% raw! This is getting so easy!!

Hi all! Have never made it through a full 30 days, so right now I'll be happy if I can just get to 50%!! Think this month will be more of a transition period for me, hope that's okay!

Had a bowl of watermelon earlier. Oh yum! And then most of a banana tonight. My stomach has shrunk a lot the past month (lost 12 pounds eating all SAD), but my desire for raw food has resurfaced, so here I am! ;)

Hello! I would like to join you! This month I turn 31 and I want to make this the month I lose the weight. I've got lots of family gatherings this month... a challenge for me, but I'm going to make it happen!

Today was great!

B: Green Lemonade

L: Green Smoothie (kale, bananas, tropical fruit mix) - My 4 year old drank a cup of it herself! yay!

Snack: ooooh hubby made his salsa... dipped carrots in it, but oh so wanted some of his corn chips... going to have to figure out how to do a raw 'chip'

Dinner; Romaine Salad w/ bean sprouts, beets, carrots, garlic, onion, green onion, and some EVOO and balsamic vinegar.

Dessert.... YUM! RAW CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM... I can NOT believe I get to eat this- it tastes like the REAL thing.. wow.. with treats like this, I think I will be able to stay raw this month!!
I used 3 bananas, 2 big TB Cacao powder, 4-6 dates, some Agave nectar (this is okay, right?), 2 TB raw Tahini- blend with 1/2 the ice, then the rest- total 3 cups ice cubes in the blender... I then threw the mixture in the freezer for a little while too - so good!

New here too, and I just set up a blog. I am so excited! I am finally learning what my 'staples' are and keeping my head on straight to do this!

I am going to lose this baby weight once and for all, gain energy and clarity, connect with my God and savior, while following and living on this Genesis diet.

Sorry guys but I missed the first.

I have really been fighting to keep my head above water. I don't know if it makes sense (but I'm guessing I'm not the only one) RAW is who I am and it is deep within me to eat this way. I don't know why I keep going back to cooked food but I feel bad physically when I do. So, here I am again ... My raw food support group :) . I can't do it on my own.

So, my food for today:

GS
Apple with dates, walnuts, some honey and coconut oil
Pineapple
Large Salad for dinner

I'm also hoping to get something in my dehydrator that has been sitting unused for over a month!

Have a GREAT raw day!

Now, I'll sit here sipping this wonderful concoction and read the boards. I've already walked my 3 miles this morning as well - It's a GOOD day!

Hello everyone!!
I had a great start to my day two!
Started walking this morning. I thought since I am in this 30 day challenge (and lovin' it) that I would also get my jiggle bottom (and thighs) moving too!!! My goal is to walk 15 mornings in June.
Okay so Food...Banana before walk with water
Then juiced Kale with apple, carrots, romaine, lemon, ginger.
breakfast was a sinful little reward consisting of
bananas, soaked raw cashews, raw agave, raw cocoa
and avocado all blended in my VM. Oh so yummy!!

I think lunch will be raw onion bread (rawvolutions version) along side of a huge salad.

I have some kale crisps in the dehydrator as I am typing this and will be snacking on those as well.

dinner will probably be raw tacos...I already have them made up!

Good luck to everyone today!!!!:D

Green morning to ya!:D

I just made my green lemonade to go- I'm out the door for a hike with double jogging stroller in tow! Oh yes, and a 2 and 4 year old to boot!

I'll check in later! Have the best day ever!

- Okay, so this morning-

GL- (Green Lemonade)- Romain, Kale, lemon and apple thru the juicer

S- 1/2 an avocado, raw walnuts, water

L: Sweet potato slices
GL- w/ beets, romain, lemon and apple - juiced

D: Portobello mushroom caps filled with guacamole, topped with sprouts

I cannot believe I juiced 2 heads of romain today. I am really going thru the leafy greens. I am in the mood for something sweet, but too lazy to make it.

Hey, Heather, welcome! That's what we are here for, to all support one another! Your day sounds amazing, and that apple treat sounds delicious!

Today for me:
Green Smoothie (Apple, Banana, Pear, Kale)
Marinated & Dehydrated Portabella mushroom (OMG THIS IS GOOD)
Grapes
Chocolate Macaroons

I'll probably have some kind of fruit snack when I get home, or maybe some carrots, and a large salad for dinner! I'll check back in later!

Hey Everybody!

Today is my last day of a fourteen day Master Cleanse. I kind of feel like I want to keep going, but I'm heading out of town on Friday, and I need to ease back into solid food by then, so tomorrow I'll be starting some juices. Raw foods don't appeal to me at all right now though (actually, nothing really appeals to me right now, in the food department), but I'm hoping some green juices will get me back to enjoying produce.

My trip this weekend is to my 10 year high school reunion! I'm so excited. I went to a boarding school in Delaware, of all places, so we're all going back to school for a weekend. It's going to be amazing seeing everyone. Foodwise, I have no idea what I'm going to eat though! I usually take a bunch of dehydrated things when I travel, but I don't think my stomach will handle that well after two weeks of lemonade. I'll have a car, so I think I'll just stop by the grocery store on the way and load up on fruits and avocados. I'll bring some salad dressing too.

As a bonus, I'm 10 pounds lighter than I was at my 5 year reunion, and about 20 pounds lighter than I was in high school! yippee! :p

That is exactly how I am! When I am eating raw my food issues are gone and I feel so good.

Hey Everybody!

My trip this weekend is to my 10 year high school reunion! I'm so excited.

Carlsbad - This year is my 20 yr, HS reunion, I'm not going but I could not say the wonderful things you are saying. I am 45 lbs. heavier than I weighed in HS (and I've lost 20 lbs.). But I say this in an encouraging way - you are an inspiration, that it CAN be done. And I have a family reunion that I AM going to at the end of this month and I can say that I am at least 20 lbs. less than when I saw any of these people 2 years ago and I can see it in myself that I am more vibrant. So, at times I may get frustrated that things aren't improving fast enough (not just weight), but when I look at the last year as a whole, I see improvement. Compared to the last 12 years of gradual slide down hill - I'll take the year of improvement ... and actually when I really consider it, it really has only been 6 months. I've lost 20 lbs., I've accomplished the longest fast I've ever done (12 days), I've tried new raw recipes, my skin has improved, my energy has improved, we have purchased 6 acres to be able to live a more natural lifestyle (we still need to build). When I look back LIKE YOU DID, it is encouraging and a bright future!

Thanks,
Heather

Heather, and the rest of the "Challenge group"

I did pretty good in May, I did about 10 days of Master Cleanse, but since then I've let things slip alittle!!!

It's time to re-devote myself to 100% rawness! (before things get outta hand!)

I promise to post EVERYTHING I eat. I know I can't post NON-raw foods, so for me that means that I HAVE TO STAY 100%!

Today so far has just been a refreshing fruit/nut salad for breakfast! Lunch is going to be something with coconut butter smoothed on.....I just have a taste for it, so now I have to find somthing to smooth it on......

Peace.

Heather: I'm with you on the slipping to SAD foods.....WHY DO I DO IT TO MYSELF??? BUT I'M BACK AND READY TO COMMIT!!!!

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this....today is my first day raw, so far. Hope I'm doing ok! I need to break out my blender so I can try one of those green smoothies!

B-2 bananas, blueberries
L-salad with avocado, pumpkin seeds, olive oil, cider vinegar

That's it so far, but I packed a bunch of stuff to take to work - carrots, apple, almond butter, coconut, etc.

Is it ok to eat a Prana bar? It says it's raw and organice, so I hope that's ok. I like to keep these in my bag.

And I'm still trying to figure out the wheatgrass thing - I'm gluten-free because of Celiac Disease, and I hear mixed things about being able to have wheatgrass. Just curious if anyone knows anything about it.

Thanks!

Hi All!
Day 2 has been good so far, had some cravings earlier today when I had to buy lunch for my kids but I haven't given in and won't! For breakfast, had a gs; lunch, fruit salad and a Larabar; dinner, not sure yet but probably guacamole--just wish I had some dehydrated chips to go with it, guess I need to order some. Anyway, I'm off to do my exercise for the day.
Wishing you all success on your path to health!

I don't know why but lunch for my kids is my hardest time of the day. But what I have found helps is to plan something decadent for myself for lunch - like DESSERT! :D

We are going over to my parents for dinner tonight and I'm bringing the salad so I will be happy, and I'm going to try to duplicate a salad dressing a friend of mine made last week (sadly she, like me, doesn't use recipes often), if it turns out I'll let you all know - it's a yummy tomato basil dressing.

See you all tomorrow!

Didn't eat breakfast cause I didn't feel hungry, but that may have been a mistake!

Had a small handful of walnuts, half an apple for lunch. Came home and had a small avocado with vinegar and about a third of a tomato. It's too hot to eat much more. Been drinking lemon water - am so excited to have lemons in the house again!! Haven't been drinking water for weeks and weeks - just the usual diet pop and coffee. Have gone twenty four hours now without a diet pop!

Came down with a killer caffeine headache this afternoon, but drinking the lemon water seems to help. I know I want that junk out of my diet, and I guess it should say something that if it physically hurts to stop eating something, maybe it's not that good for us anyway?

Hey gang,

Where did May go?! I had a really busy month but have finally found my way back here to start posting every day. So far today I had a smoothie with 3 oranges and coconut oil (would have had pineapple, too, but it wasn't ripe enough), hemp seeds, goldenberries, Lara bar, a piece of raw chocolate and some cashews. Tonight I'm having the rest of the fruit from an Edible Arrangement that came to the office that no one wanted. :)

I had a Revelation today!

Everytime I try to do the monthly challenges I get obsessed and begin to rebel myself. So, I realized today that I need to just take it slow and let myself transition slowly and comfortably. I want to continue to focus on becoming healthy; rather then feeling like I have to be perfect right now.

That's part of my Eating Disorder - Perfection. Aaaaaaaagh!

So, I think doing the monthly challenge for me right now triggers me to obsessive and too weight - food focused resulting in me relapsing or sliping, resulting in feeling guilty, resulting in a cycle of thinking - "well forget it I already messed up". So, for me right no it's healthier to focus on my Health and to continue to strive to the best of my ability without guilt or the need to be Perfect or 100%.

I'm removing my weight to remove my weight section in my signature to assist me in letting go of my weight focus.

I am NOW beginning my HEALTH FOCUS!

So, I leave the Monthly Challenge and wish you all Great Strength and Perseraverance!

Love and Light

Well, I started in the March monthly challenge and wasn't able to finish the month because we ran out of money, and couldn't afford the internet. Which meant that I didn't have the support of the lovely people on here. My partner isn't incredibly supportive, unfortunately.

So, I am back.

Purple smoothie from this morning:

1 cup kombucha
2 cups cranberry juice
banana
strawberry
cherry
raspberry
blueberry
5 dates
2 handfulls of spinach
1 handfull cress
cinnamon
ginger

Snacks today are going to be red grapes, carrots, cashews and almonds and some nori.

Keep your fingers crossed for me! I want this to work for me. I know that in March when I was probably 75% raw I felt lighter and more energetic and overall, healthier!

Good Morning!

I truly believe summer is the perfect time to discover or rediscover raw foods. It just feels RIGHT. I had a good day yesterday, I wavered slightly while the kids were making their lunch, but once I dove into mine I was fine. I think a big key for me is to not let myself get too hungry. Well, I have a lot I want to get done today so here is my food for today:

1/2 of my daughter's cashew/banana/cacao smoothie
2 nectarines
pineapple with pecans and dates with a drizzle of honey and coconut oil
Salad for dinner
If I'm hungry after dinner maybe a small smoothie

Have a GREAT raw day!

Good morning all!

Heather: That pineapple thing you ate sounds DELICIOUS!!

Michelle: It's great to be back, and you have NOT been a horrible buddy....I have been busy too, it's just great to know that you noticed that I was here, now I feel more accountable. If I disappear, will you email me and "get on my case!!":p

Yesterday was great! Food wise I had:
apple, banana, walnuts drizzled with agave (this made a HUGE bowl!)
lunch I really wasn't that hungry, but I REALLY wanted some coconut oil (weird craving huh:rolleyes: ) so I had some walnuts stirred around with the coconut oil, sprinkled with sea salt and some carribean jerk seasoning. This was really good!! I was wishing I had banana/flax crackers of Alissa's to smooth some coconut oil on, oh well, now I've gotta get some more flax seed to make some!!

Then I went to the gym after I fixed my sad eatin family their dinner, and was dreaming of eating a green salad with mashed (seasoned) avo for the "dressing", but when I got home it was late, and I was too tired, so I just drank some water....showered and went to bed.

Not alot of food yesterday, but I really wasn't hungry when I didn't eat so I'm ok with that.

Can't wait for the day, planning on making a choco pie. If it turns out good, I'll post the recipe!!

Peace!

I've been busy the past few days (graduating from nursing school in 9 days!), so I haven't posted on the challenge yet, but I have been eating 100% raw and it's going great. Started yesterday, so just a day behind. Refocusing on my RAW priorities and getting back to the challenges and reading everyone's support, encouragement and questions. Love it here!

GS- 2 frozen banana, 6 romaine leaves without stems (gots a blender), 1-1/2 c. diluted kombucha, 2 T chia - ofcourse it was yummy. Pretty much my staple and will sub spinach when romaine is gone

Lunch- portabella with guac & salsa
Supper - will be making falafel pate to eat with cukes
Snackage will be some raisins or nuts and seeds if needed

Back and glad to get my RAW groove on!!

Im losing track of how many days I've been raw!!! I am in love with life and ESPECIALLY with raw!!! :D

I made a bunch of fun stuff last nite and this morning.

Jicama fries (from Alissa's recipe) - YUMMMY to munch on!!
Mashed potatoes (Alissa's recipe, again, since I'm keeping it SIMPLE and sticking to her book only for now) - delicious, but I've always been a sucker for these even long before I had heard of raw!!!
Celery/cucumber soup with seasonings - my own creation, a potent blend hopefully to cure my little bit of break-out

Hello everyone! I have actually been following this challenge since day 1. However, I have been so busy I have not had the chance to post. I am aiming for overall 85-90% raw in this challenge, with several 100% days during the challenge. Right now I am doing well. I have actually been less hungry. I have been eating raw trail mix, raw pepitas, fruit and salad. To be honest, this is working well for me. I have tried to cut nuts out of my diet for the most part when I have tried raw in the past, but I find them to be really satisfying and filling. I would like to cut down the amount of nuts I eat over time to focus more on the GREENS!!! I actually love my greens and green smoothies, but I need to find a way to jazz up my salads a little more. I am not really into the raw gourmet with the dehydrators and such. I prefer simplicity.

I am happy to be embarking on this journey with you all! Let's make the most of it!

Still doing great, despite having made a couple of raw recipes yesterday and today that just didn't suit me at all--yuck! I may have to just keep it simple until I have maintained raw for a longer amount of time and my taste buds have changed over.

B: green smoothie

L: Ani's breakfast pancakes (yuck!, but I don't think I made them correctly so will tweak again in the future just to make sure) and had carob pudding (also yuck, but this was definitely my fault--bananas weren't ripe enough and I used cocoa instead of carob. It wasn't sweet enough and just tasted off--sigh!)

D: Fruit salad with walnuts (going back to simple--I love fruit salad!)

Snacks: pistachio nuts & Larabar

Thanks to the person who posted the tip regarding packing a decadent treat for myself when I have to buy lunch for the kids--I will keep that in mind and will make sure I have something with me at all times so I don't give in to cravings.

See you tomorrow!

Ah Day Three, woohoo!

Today I am breaking the fast from my Master Cleanse, so I started the day with some of the lemonade, then had a bunch of grapefruit juice, and then a bunch of orange juice. I've got some veggie juices for tomorrow. My body is so excited about those! I'm ready to take a break from citrus.

Hi Everybody!

Today went really well but I've been feeling really tired and my face is really broken out. I started the day with cucumber juice to try to help clear my skin, and then had some watermelon. I had a big salad for lunch and then munched on cashews, a few chocolate truffles and some goldenberries. Tonight I am making the angel hair pasta with marinara for me and my hubby (who has reluctantly agreed to eat anything I make). :)

My coworkers are really excited this week because I told them I am bringing in smoothies for everybody for our team meeting on Friday. It's first thing in the morning, and a few weeks ago everyone but me was really lethargic and really weren't participating, so I told them that I was going to bring in smoothies so they had some energy. :) I had them choose between a pina colada (my personal fav), banana spinach or banana bread smoothie. So far the hands down winner is pina colada, so hopefully everybody enjoys it!

Wendi: I'm going to try out your walnut/coconut oil/sea salt/jerk seasoning recipe tomorrow if I can find any jerk seasoning in my house. Thanks for the suggestion on spicing things up!

Have a great night!

Hi Everyone- I'm doing great. I have a green smoothie every day and am really enjoying wrapping up a tangy salad in nori paper, then I feel like I'm really eating something and not air. I experimented yesterday with marinated a collard leaf in a tamari sauce to soften it up to use as a roll-up. An idea I got from Elaina Love's site; worked pretty good. Raw food tastes remarkably better when I'm eating 100% raw and not just high raw; anyone notice that? strange, ay?

Day 3- a tough day for me- maybe the cravings were worse today because I didn't have any green smoothies- but just fresh OJ? Anyway I'm going to keep going and keep getting excited about new recipies and try to incorporate more raw for my kids

B: Fresh squeezed OJ

L: raw crackers w/ nut butter, banana and agave nectar

s: carrot sticks

D: Hummus and sprouts on Nori

Planning on raw ice cream again- something to look forward to! Yum-o!

Mashed potatoes??? mmm... sounds soo good! Lately, I can't get enough strawberries and tomatoes (something about those red foods). I'm loving the freedom from cravings - indulging in destructive food choices is such an easy way to give one's power away - for me anyway. For today, I choose LIFE. Good going everyone - you're all doing great!:)

today was sooooooooooooooooo tough!

i went with my mom and my brother to th emall to look at some furniture, etc. and they decided that they wanted to go to the food court. how considerate...they purposefully make raw harder for me because they don't believe in it. *sigh* but lucky me, I had a banana earlier and my mom was kind enough to pack some sliced romaine, squash, radish, and carrot. it was a nice thought, but it just DID NOT do anything for me. she ended up adding it to her noodles she bought at the f.c.. i am always really bothered at how inconsiderate they can be. i know they would never do it, but still, it always hurts me and makes me a little bigger when they put me in difficult situations. at this point i am happy to be vegan and like 99% raw. the spices i use were already in the house and questionable, and since rawness is so hard to make sure of these days, i just dont think the minor details are worth stressing about. ha, and aunt flo is visiting too, so i am extra, hungry, cranky, and hormonal....maybe not the best time for raw. maybe the perfect one!!! it is just difficult.

today i had 2 bananas and some bunches of greens, then finally came home an hour ago....5:00!!! and was absolutely ravenous. i ate about 1/4 cup -1/3 cup of some raw pecans, drizzled with maple syrup, then finally powdered with cinnamon and sprinkled with cayenne, and a dash of mediterranean salt...for a nice contrast. sooooooooooooooooooooo good!

i know that maple isnt exactly raw since it is boiled to evaorate exces water, but for me it is a nostalgic flavor that i am not really ready to give up. i use it with moderation and it has a great array of nutrients. it is about the bg picture i think.

and it is delicious!!!

day 6 for me. It's been rather difficult the past two days--only because despite my spending over fifty bucks at wf on produce yesterday i still seem to have just some avocados and fruit for smoothies and greens.
today i had water upon waking.
a peach strawberry bee pollen smoothie for breakfast.
an avocado sprinkled w/ braggs and a few dashes of dulse powder.
a raw revolution bar as a snack.
a green smoothie for dinner.
lotts of water,
and i've been nibbling on goji chunks for the past hour.

the days befoe have been fairly simple. in fact i spent the past few days in awe of the nrg that i feel w/in my body on so many levels. a raised awareness of simple and soulful things. a sort of "intunement".
i had been eating in similar ways as today only w/ more bananas.
had a bit of nausea last night (bad food combining).
can somewhat feel my system adjustin' to all of these enzymes. fortunately i drank a lot of gs over the past 3 months prior to rawin it up.
thankin' God tho'. This really is a BEAUTY FULL experience. been veg for 6 yrs and can't believe i didn't make this transition sooner! (i know all things in their due time..). The only thing I wish is that there were more raw/vegan food/supplies inside Detroit. urgggh. doin the wild green thing. definitely investing in a dehydator and a decent food processor next wk!!!

ANY recipes or suggestions for rawlife without it are welcome!!!
may grow tired of avocados and banana soon.

I got a little bit of a head start on the raw challenge and today is Day 5 for me.

Today, I felt severe cravings for junk food...chocolate chip cookies, in particular.
I did not, however, succumb. My husband, the Jack In the Box-atarian, is eating a huge bowl of popcorn smothered in real butter presently. One of the great smells on this planet, by the way. I ate Emerald Kale (kale with coconut oil, garlic, fresh ginger and soy sauce) instead.

Food for the day:

Yerba Matte tea
Broccoli and garlic
Kale
Spring greens salad with veggies
Avocados with cilantro, tomatoes and onions
Thai Coconut

Oh yeah...and kombucha.

Laughing Giraffe, sold at Whole Foods Market, is another excellent company making raw food granola, macaroons, etc. The price point is high, but worth it. Also Vega makes a really good raw bar.

Mood was pretty stable today, except for the cravings.

I've started attending a Tibetan Buddhist study group. Went to my first "class" yesterday. I'm very excited about this prospect! The center is of the Kagyu (sp) lineage. Most of the programs are taught/lead by ordained nuns.

Good morning!!

Looking forward to Day 3!

Yesterday's food intake:

Breakfast/lunch (it was late) great big green/purple smoothie! It had wonderful FRESH strawberries, a few frozen cherries, and LOTS of baby spinach, and of course some frozen banana, and a heaping tsp (or 2) of coconut oil, and a light drizzle of maple syrup. I am almost out of agave and I want to save it for my choco pie (didn't make it yet, but hope to today!)

Dinner was a great big green salad with some seasoned avo mixed in for flavor and lovely fats!

I also exercised yesterday again! For the second day in a row. (this is huge for me!!)

Feeling great! Hope everyone else is to.

I started my day with a 4 mile walk then came home and stretched. I am loving that my children are finally old enough that we can get REAL exercise and not just a stroll :D And it's also good time to talk and enjoy each other's company.

I don't know why I get certain things in my head. I'll make my children a fruit smoothie or cacao smoothie for breakfast but in my head I MUST have a green smoothie, because ??? Anyway I am trying to break my mindset of absolutes and enjoy RAW. I made us all the same smoothie this morning banana/pineapple/cherry made with walnut milk - it is like a little slice of heaven. So, my food for today looks like ...

Smoothie
Pineapple (may add nuts if I'm really hungry)
cauliflower with tomato basil dressing
large salad for dinner

Have a great RAW day!

So I've started to move into my new house on MOnday. We've painted and tonight is moving night. I am so excited. THis is my husband and mine's first house!

Anyway, the best part is the kitchen. I've created the perfect raw vegan kitchen. I cannot wait to put all the appliances, gadgets, and food away tonight.

This morning I juiced a bunch of red grapes for breakfast. Lunch is a green smoothie. Snack- apple. I will have a sald for dinner.

All this moving has left me exhausted and a bit out of it. Any suggestions for a quick pick me up??

Well hope you all have a great day!

Well, I made a good choice! My children requested I make one of their favorite lunches today, unfortunately it's one of mine too. SO, I made myself some sliced strawberries with ground walnuts topped with some walnut date milk (but more like cream). It tasted like dessert so it worked, and now I'm full and the lunch mess is all cleaned up! Victory!

I'm off to Sam's Club to restock.

Congrats! How exciting. And you are starting off by setting up your kitchen right instead of having to retrofit after the fact. We have just purchased 6 acres and are in the design phase of our house and I have asked hubby to have a stand alone refrigerator and a stand alone freezer side by side, so that I can shop once a week and fit all the produce.

I'm still breaking my MC fast, so I started the day with fresh oj. I have lots more of that for later, and then some of my beloved veggie juice (carrot, cucumber, celery, spinach, parsley). I'm salivating just thinking about it! How funny is that?!

My stomach is slowly waking up from the fast and I'm starting to get excited about all the raw foods I'm going to eat. Bananas sound particularly enticing, and grapes, and watermelon, and cold cucumbers, and on and on! I love that I'm thinking longingly of foods that are good for me--it's a nice change! :p

My mom has volunteered to make me a raw feast for my birthday in August. I'm really excited about that, especially since last year she made all my favorite foods and I had to bring my own raw stuff. It was tough. So this year we're going to work together to make something yummy and raw! I got a new uncookbook yesterday--Everyday Raw--and the pictures are so amazing. I want to frame them and post them all over my house! I can't wait to do some serious uncooking next week! I'll let you know how it goes!

It took more than one trip to the store for the complicated ingredient list, but I made the Russell James' lasagne recipe last night, and it was absolutely spectacular, well worth the trouble:

http://therawchefblog.com/lasagne-recipe/

Gathering the ingredients was by far the hardest part of the process--mostly unskilled labor required to prepare and assemble the layers. There were bits of the various layers left over, which make good snacks spread on flax crackers today.

I had a difficult day today but am hanging in there. This morning I had a choco banana smoothie, the rest of my goldenberries and pina colada smoothie tonight. I haven't been feeling so great the last few days and have been really tired, so I'm hoping that improves soon... or at least for the weekend so I can enjoy myself!

Next week I will start going to the gym 3x each week with a buddy. We are meeting before I go to work so I can get exercise out of the way for the day. I am really looking forward to getting back in shape and also being accountable to someone.

Have a great night!

So it was another late night last night moving and packing, but tonight is the first night in the new house! Yeah!!

I went to the coop and bought a salad, pear and lara bar for this afternoon.

Dinner, will be a simple salad in the new house! Can you tell I'm excited!! :D

Was getting very tired of onion bread, eggless egg salad, tacos, apple bars ect...

I am not having any cravings yet and have been feeling really great. :)

Been working all week and no time to get to my computer. Staying raw, though. Actually, I think this week I'm at about 99.9% raw!!! ;)

Today, I have no appetite from being rather weakened by the hormone problem, so I've pretty much just been sipping on an almond/orange/banana/date smoothie all morning and nothing else.

Strange thing about raw - that I LOVE - I woke up at 730am thinking "Darnit, did I OVERSLEEP AGAIN??" :D

Yesterday I overdid the breakfast smoothie, adding celery, flax meal, kale, blueberries, apple and pineapple, and producing something grainy and sludgy that felt like the nasty-tasting "health food" I remember my hippie mom making in the 60s.

Today's morning smoothie I kept simple, and it was fabulous. I had frozen some kale from last week's farmer's market, and found that the frozen kale is brittle and far friendlier in my middle-of-the-road blender. I also refrained from turning the drink into a sludgy essay on "health." Just kale, banana, pineapple.

Water w/ lemon
Salad
Salad w/ raw corn
raw ice cream

yay!

Day 6!

I was feeling fast-y (or ish I guess) and I didn't feel like eating anything this morning, took a nice long nap with my baby and woke up ravenous! I ate some plums from my backyard and then made a big huge disgusting chocolate kale shake... I don't think I can ever use kale again with chocolate.. .BLECH! Drank some of it anyway since I didn't want to waste the Organic Dagoba Cacao power.... next time im going to use romaine or spinach...
Then DH came home with a spring salad for me... lots of no-nos for him that I couldn't touch *sigh* but then I had my favorite raw ice cream and it was all good- no feeling deprived! WOO HOO!

I actually fit into some jeans that I couldn't get into since after my 1st was born... oh yeah!

Started out with some blueberries & fruit. Had a late morning snack of guacamole and raw cashews---wow it tasted just the same if not better as chips. That I can do! :)

Headed into the "big city" of 3,000 to walk around the square. It's a beautiful day!

Hello all...:p

I thought today was day 7 (June 7th)???

I posted first on this thread but that was friday morning...so what happened?

Oh well....day 7

Going strong and raw raw raw!!
I probably didn't eat enough because I am feeling hungry right now but here's what I have eaten so far, I drank a bottle of kombucha and later ate a larabar then I had a 1/2 cup of the leftover simple sweet and spicy thai wrap filling. Hmmmm... time to forage for a snack! :D

I too am confused on the days.

Nevertheless: today I had 2 salads with guac, several strawberries, a bite or two of cantaloupe and some not-so-ripe kiwi, lots of water with fresh lemon, and another quarter pound or so of dates. On the salad I used balsamic vinegar and sprinkled nutritional yeast over the top. Yum!!!!!!

Best day yet!

Happy Sunday Morning to everyone! I've missed posting for a couple of days, but my food has been like this:

Breakfast: either a smoothie or fruit salad with coconut oil and a small drizzle of maple syrup
Lunch: (usually not too hungry after the large breakfast) so I might have a quick handful of nuts
Dinner: salad with veggies and an avo mashed up with seasonings for the dressing

Today:
Breakfast: I'm feeling like juice...so I'm going to have baby greens, carrot and apple juice...oh and celery Then maybe eat an apple on the way to church
Lunch: salad with avo and raisins and dehydrated mushrooms YUMMY and whatever veggies I have left.
Dinner: not sure yet. Maybe I'll save 1/2 of my avo and make some guacamole and walnut taco meat and eat that on flax crackers or in another salad.

I'll post later, but that's the plan.

Have a fabulous Sunday!

Goodmorning :p

I am starved!! Going to have to go to the supermarket to get supplies. I think that I will have a larabar for now just to quiet the beast in my tummy! haha
Going to the sister in laws house today for a small family get together. She's preparing (I think) spareribs and potato salad. But she's excited that I am bringing the Thai wraps (yes, still stuck on these) and a raw sprouted lentil salad. I may also make some strawberry lemonade to bring too. Well, have to go and get supplies and start uncooking!!

Everyone have a beautiful day!:D

Wow this is just day three and I feel great. My skin is already glowing. I don't have to wear cover up today! :) Gotta go to the grocery and stock up too. I have so much more energy during the day--the bad part is it doesn't go away at night and I'm having trouble sleeping. Got an adjustment this morning so the neck and headache are gone-yeah!

I had a great day! I have been able to post much. So much going on.
But, I did go hiking yesterday and making it to the top was such an awesome experience. I am SO sore but I just keep stretching and am looking forward to next weekend to do this again!

After we hiked my friend took me out to lunch and I got a salad and it was SO good.

I about died on the way up because I didn't eat enough for breakfast or take anything on the trail with me.

and each day gets better!

For breakfast I had: 1 apple, half a mango, large slice of watermelon, lemon water

For lunch I had: organic salad with tomato, onion, half an avocado, balsamic vinegar and rich cheddar sauce (raw)

This afternoon I had another salad and have been drinking raw lemonade. It's VERY hot and muggy right now! :)

Feeling great, the kids are eating increased raw as well, and I can climb the stairs with almost no knee pain. My caffeine/aspartame headaches have faded into almost nothing, my bowels are moving once again, I'm sleeping better, and life is good!!

Just wanted to say "hey"...I may start posting next month. I haven't posted in a long time. I've done a lot of cleansing off and on lately. When I'm finished with this cleansing I'll be eager to jump on board and share some stuff with ya...

In the meantime, I will be enjoying a delicous ginger-lemonade that I'm sure you've all made. There's so many versions and flavors...here's mine:

6 small lemons (juiced- I peeled the skin off because my lemons were not organic)
9 - 10 cups of pure cold pure water
1/4 - 1/2 cup agave (I used 1/2)
4 inches of ginger root (I used a little more and peeled the skin and put in juicer)

It's so fast and easy to make. It only took about 15 minutes (or a few minutes less) and that includes prep, juicing, mixing the drink and putting it in the fridge, and then washing everything)

had a great day.
breakfast canteloupe
lunch banana strawberries
dinner celery with avacadoes
snack watermelon

towards the end of the day the kids were begging to eat "real" food. I said ok. so I got the celery out and had some almond butter and they ate their celery with that while I ate mine w/ the avocodo mix.

They wanted pizza and I *thought* about it but never did anything about it and they forgot totally about it afer the celery and almond butter.

I'm grateful for that as having pizza here would not have been good for me!

I feel overall i've had a great week!

Staying raw was easy this weekend, including a brunch for some vegetarian guests who had never eaten raw. I did take great pleasure in the smell of barbecue wafting over the fence from my neighbors' back yard, but wasn't at all tempted to cheat.

I took a trip to the supermarket on Sunday to pick up some laundry detergent, and was really struck by how little food there was for sale.

I think the weekend was easy in part because I was able to play in the kitchen. The work week, when I'm less focussed on food and have less time, will be interesting.

SOrry that I did not post over the weekend. I still have not set up internet or cable in the new house, so I had to wait until the work week to post.

The weekend went well and I feel great!

I made my chocolate macaroons in the dehydrator last night for my co-workers. All they see me eat is fruit and veggies so I wanted to show them the sweet treats we can also eat. They turned out great.

Breakfast: raw oatmeal with a banana and rasperberries.
Lunch- salad greens with bail, srpouts, cucumber and red grapes.
Dinner: Salad greens with tomoto and avocado!

Have agreat day and try and stay cool!

Hi Rawbies,

WOW, day nine! How time flies when you're raw! The weekend was busy for me and I was able to stay raw. The heat here in Baltimore was unbearable so I found myself eating lots of watermelon while on the go and I was fine. I mean it has been 100-103 degrees F. Speaking of which, going to the store today! It's oh so much more fun shopping for raw food. Me want more watermelon! Can't wait til the other melons come in season. I want cantaloupe smoothies. Talk to ya later. Have a great day everyone!

Had a rough few days of staying raw and didn't do as well as I wanted, but I also didn't beat myself up over it like I used to in the past, so there is some improvement at least emotionally.

Today is another day:

b: gs
l: fruit salad
d: oatmeal with banana and raisins
s: Larabar (may have a frozen smoothie later--it is so hot today!)

Wishing success to all!

I'm rockin' along here in day nine of my 1st 30day raw challenge. I must say that I didn't have much of a conversion to the raw food diet. I did a 28 day cleanse in May and the diet is a raw vegan. So all my withdrawl symptoms from cooked food, caffeine, starches etc...happened last month. June is a continuation of a making really good food choices. With the cleanse I had to take a lot of herbs and drink the psyllium husk and benonite clay shakes, now I just get to enjoy and discover this whole world of raw food!!

Typically, for breakfast I am having a fruit smoothie, if I get up early enough, I will have a juice from my champion juicer first then an hour later I have the smoothie. Snacks are typically fruits or nuts. Lunch is something I have made from Alissa's book. I had the carrot-pecan "burgers", the other day, they were very good! If I don't have something ready from the dehydrator, then I will have a salad. I try to have a juice in the afternoon, about the same time that I would get a candy bar or some other sugary snack! Dinner is a salad with a dessert.

If I get hungry I usually have a handful of raw mixed nuts and a big glass of water.

The day before I started my 30 day challenge I had a blood panel drawn. I got the results today. Everything is in the excellent range. My naturopath said it will be interesting to see if anything changes over the next 3 weeks as I maintain the raw food diet. I am betting my cholesterol and triglycerides go even lower. Cholesterol is at 129 and Triglicerides at 72. I will keep you all updated on my post 30 day blood panel.

Enjoy your day!
Peace :)

Hi everyone! Today was a good day staying raw. I had so much energy from all the live food I was eating...it didn't even matter that I didn't have a full 8 hours of sleep! Back when I was eating cooked food I would have been pretty tired.

Foods eaten today so far:

watermelon
raw hazelnuts
zucchini & broccoli salad
cherries

Enjoy your evening!

I don't know why but today I woke up feeling tired. Even now I am ready for bed. I haven't "slipped" or anything so I just don't get it..why the feeling of lethargy:confused: I probably just didn't eat what my body needed. I think I may have overindulged on the kombucha. I had problems with overactive bowels this morning:( ...I think it was either the kombucha or the tomatoes.
Today I had green lemonade (purple kale, apple, carrots, ginger, lemon) from my juicer. Then I had a larabar followed by most of a mango and two kiwi's (boy those were yummy) and a few bites of raw coleslaw. I know I need to eat more...I think I will make a nice salad or maybe just a smoothie for dinner. I hope tomorrow I feel more energetic.
Day 10 here we come!!!!!:D

Hi Everyone,

I had a great day at the gym yesterday with a really intense workout. I am planning to go on Wednesday and Friday this week as well, and then my hubby and I are planning to go to Grezzo this weekend as a reward. :) I have a buddy now at the gym so I have extra motivation to go, since I don't want to let her down.

Today I am planning on a smoothie, a big salad at lunch and some fruit in the afternoon. Not sure about dinner yet. It is supposed to be very hot today so I think I might pick up some watermelon tonight on my way home from work.

Hope you all have a great day!

I started the morning out with a smoothie consisting of banana, mango, avocado, hemp seed oil, coconut water, vanilla. It rawked!!!

I know a larabar will be the next thing I eat due to being easy to carry along. I have to take my grandmother to pre register at the hospital today so it makes an easy snack/meal.

I really need to have a big salad for dinner and probably some fruit in there somewhere.

I made myself my FAVORITE food for breakfast, lunch and dinner today since my stomach is unstable. Almond/date/banana smoothie- a big old batch (almost two quarts) and a green smoothie (apple/banana/cucumber/romaine lettuce/orange).

Also sipping on some kombucha, because I can. LOL

Hi there:

So after my run this morning, all I wanted to eat was something cool. I made a large fruit salad. I ate that for breakfast and my snack.

For lunch, I made zucchini pasta and pesto. I tried something new with the pesto. Instead of pine nuts, I used leftover almond pulp from when I made almond milk. It was great. The consistency was creamy. I just didn't want to waste the almond pulp. I will continue to do this!

Dinner- Will be a salad with avocado.

I haven't been getting enough sleep so no time to make what I really wanted and THE HEAT ....ugh...I had green smoothie of collards, banana and apple, some cashews, grapes and strawberries that I got from Whole Foods that WEREN'T ripe or sweet tasting or something, and a huge smoothie of almond milk, blueberries, pineapple, and banana. Good morning all! I've really missed posting! My family has been extremely busy getting ready for vacation. We are WAY ahead of schedule. The house is straightened up already and all the laundry is done! This is a first ever for my family (well mostly me) All I have to do now is some dusting, mop, and clean the bathrooms. My parents are even coming for dinner tomorrow night and I'm not even nervous about it! This is a definite first!

Food the last couple of days has been simple. I'm definitely low on produce this week, so I've eaten the same things over and over. I don't like to do this, but it's just for this week. The week at the beach will be great! I'm looking forward to having more variety (I always buy lots of fruit and veggies. The kids like to eat more fruit at the beach...like grapes, apples, watermelon,......but I am craving some peaches, mango, strawberries....)

Anyway, my food this week has been:
GS made of greens, sprouts, banana, blueberries, cherries
ice cream pops made of blended banana, cherries, and a drizzle of maple syrup (this was really yummy!)
salads with sprouts, nuts and a drizzle of citrus
my last few apples are gone....
I've also nibbled on some granola made of agave, sprouted buckwheat, raisins, pumpkin seeds....I'm glad I had this yesterday to snack on as supplies are getting low.

I'm glad I have sprouts ready to eat! Today's food will be simple, as tomorrow I will HAVE TO go to the grocery store to buy a few things!
FOOD PLAN:
GS with greens, sprouts, agave (no bananas left:o) blueberries, and cherries (not sure how this will turn out without my GS staple, banana)
Lunch: salad with sprouts and some homemade raw dressing
Dinner: salad with dehydrated mushrooms that I have ready and can't wait to treat myself to!!

Sorry this has been an extremely long post! I just had so much to catch up on.

Have a great day!!

I am surprised at how easy it has been to stay raw, even during the work week (it helps that I work at home, I'm sure), and even dining out, as green salads and fruit salads seem to be on every menu. My appetite has so shifted already that temptation isn't an issue (even while watching the steak episode of Top Chef!), and I seem to want to eat less at a sitting.

I thought going into this that doing my best would be good enough, and I expected to be slipping a lot, if only for convenience's sake, but I have yet to slip at all. I know better than to be impressed with myself on this count--the credit goes to the diet. It's an extremely livable way of eating that my body likes.

Almost time to say good afternoon (here, anyway)
Had to leave the house early this morning and just grabbed a rasisin cinnamon bar by Raw Organic. Later had a peach and some red grapes. Gotta eat a cuke before it goes bad, possibly with just a tomato and some salt and pepper. And then may do what I did last night and just simply ate yellow-green, a purple and red pepper strips with tahini. Keep it simple for now.

Hey everyone...hmmmm today I made a green smoothie for breakfast. We were fresh out of bananas...and I made an important self discovery....AVOCADO + GREEN SMOOTHIE + ME = :( It was not really all that. I need my bananas in my green smoothies...this one just had too much oily creaminess going on. However, I drank over half of the pitcher, ate some mango, thai salad, veggie roll. It's way too easy to grab those rather than make something, especially if I'm constantly on the go. Anyway, will check back in later. I hve some peas and cantaloupe for snack. Was rushin' this AM. Later roomies!

Hello everyone!

I haven't posted in a couple of days but I am still on the raw!!

Grandmother had surgery yesterday and well the days before were full of Dr appts and tests and I was the driver.

I am not very well prepared today  but had a big bowl of fruit for breakfast and will make it through today then go to the store tomorrow.

Hope everyone is doing great!!!:p

Shurt - sending rays of sunshine to your grandmother!! Take care of her (and yourself!)

A little slippage yesterday, but nothing too bad. Loving the melons in the morning! Cantelope today again for breakfast. Shared a little with Daisy the WunderWeiner! She likes watermelon too!

Cukes and falafel pate for lunch.

Supper? Hmmm? Maybe something simple again. Been working for me lately.

Have a good one!
