Hey all,

I have been having difficulties with the diet after recent intentional slips (long story) and I have now got out of the habit of eating raw food. I still have a large amount of raw food every day just not the same percentage wise.

Anyway, was wondering what staples all of you have to hand at all times?

ie onion bread, nut mylk... you know the sort?

Thanks in advance!

I do not have any recipes that I keep around at all times, but.. I do keep some pumpkin seed bars in the cupboard that I buy at the health food store. I always have walnuts, cashews, macadama nuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds and sometimes pecans.

Each week, I buy (or pick from my garden) tomatoes, lettuce or some other greens, onions (various kinds), peppers, celery and carrots. This week I got radishes and turnips. Sometimes get mushrooms. Really depends on what is available at my CSA. Sometimes I get cucumbers.

I also get olives, olive oil, coconut oil and more recently avocado oil.

I do not eat much in the way of fruit, but I do keep some coconut and dates around. And I buy fresh fruit for my husband and daugter. Mainly berries, apples, pears, oranges, melons and pineapple because that's what they like.

I go through phases where I make sprouts and other times when I don't. I seem to get quickly burned out on them after eating them for a few weeks and then it might be a long time before I make them again.

I dont keep recipes on hand either. I keep nuts, seeds, salad fixings, avocados, veggies for dipping, sometimes I dry fruit or make granola but it never lasts long, lots of fruit for snacks and smoothies. I keep agave, honey, olive oil, carob, cocoa, coconut oil, sea salt, nama shoyu, acv, garlic and ginger, nori. Its easy to whip up a dip or pate, a salad with dressing, a smoothie, a dessert, the possiblilities are endless....I could create a 4 course gourmet meal with the above:D.

Thanks for your input both of you! It has made me realise that you just have to use your imagination when it comes to raw food! I have all these raw food recipe books yet I have not looked at any of them in a while

Thanks again! xxxxxxxx
