Do they add stuff to their wheatgrass juice? The woman claimed it was nothing but straight wheat grass (I watched her juice it)... but it tasted nothing like I expected.

I had been expecting wheatgrass juice to taste nasty, something that should be choked down quickly.

So I cautiously tried it... and it was DELICIOUS!!!!! It had the most fabulous, fresh, "green" flavor. It tasted sweet to me.

Is that normal or is it possible that they sweeten it somehow? (Then again, I used to eat weeds from my yard when I was 5 or 6 and loved them too... maybe I'm just a natural rawbie! :o)

congratulations rawbie!
when your body loves something, you'll know! i had the same experience many years ago....and had to have it daily....then one day, i just didn't like it as much anymore. i guess i replenished what i was missing...

So amazing how our bodies know what they need! (I thought my coconut oil kick would last forever, but like happened with you, one day I just didn't need it.) Thanks! (YAY, I'm so thrilled that I love the taste of wheatgrass juice!!! :D)

Wheatgrass is naturally very sweet. I worked at Jamba(just quit a few days ago) and it's just straight grass. I got sooo sick from drinking it a few weeks ago, though! I can't stand the smell of it anymore. I would advise growing and juicing it yourself though, if you can. I have many many times seen a bunch of mold growing on the sprouts :/

I used to get sick after eating wheatgrass 2, shudders, But I read that because it's soo powerful, if you feel seek it's because, all the waste it removes, and causes a detox. Once I had a colonic, it was like I was cleaner and could handle the constant cleanse from such powerful foods being removed, my body wasnt overloaded.

Yes, it's mildly sweet, though powerful. It makes me sick to my stomach, though. I'm glad you like it!

Well, I made the mistake of buying little 1-ounce containers of pre-juiced wheatgrass while I was there... they taste kinda gross. I poured one into my green smoothie this morning and the color was dark, muddy, sickly green... not the vibrant green of the freshly juiced wheatgrass. I will stick to freshly juiced from now on!!

Yay for you! I struggle to get wheatgrass down. But I've had the same experience of something tasting good when it's supposed to be gross. MSM is known for being bitter, yet I love it in my water. I must be pretty deficient.
