50 will be OK i guess, but the good stuff doesn't come until you're about 60. you get a ton of discounts and people just look at you and feel compelled to carry you're bag for you, or make you lunch.... its gunna be nice.

It is truly not the destination--it is the journey. Sounds a little like "little grasshopper," but time truly goes so very quickly. Blink and it seems ten years pass. You will get there--my wish for you is to be real and enjoy the journey.

Wow, you sound just like me!! I thought 50 would NEVER come! Slowly but surely I'm qualifying for more stuff. First it was AARP and all its querks. And every now again some young tart actually thinks I'm over 55 and gives me the "senior discount"!!! LOL I have 3 more years before I hit the golden 55. The vast majority of places use 55 as the 'over the hill' marker. That's when I will really be jumping up and down - albeit not very high as us 'old folks' can't get very high!!

50 was GREAT! I celebrated and am STILL celebrating 9 years later! Realizing that I chose to live half-a-century and that I keep getting better and better! Life is wonderful and I can carry my OWN bags as well as my kettlebells, Indian Clubs and more.
