My closest friend has finally gotten her bypolar disorder diagnosed and under proper medication. However, she is noticing her memory deteriorating as she just landed her dream job. I'm new to the raw food lifestyle and don't have enough experience to point her to any holistic support.
I would greatly appreciate your insight. Much love from SLC, UT.:)

My aunt is by polar, i do think she mentioned her poor memory once or twice, hummmmmmmm
Green smoothies may be helpful... the mineral and antioxidant punch sure helps a lot -- if you don't know what green smoothies are, use the banana at the top to search, and you'll find a TON of info!
And welcome by the way! :)

I was diagnosed as being bipolar although I'm not sure how much truth there was to my diagnosis. The medications did help me but so is the raw food diet, who's to say what the real problem was. Anyway, I'm also a nursing student and a pharmacy tech so I know a lot about these types of drugs considering all of this and also being on them myself at one time. It's tough to say without knowing which exact drug she's taking maybe you can find out and let me know. I know that topamax is a really bad one for memory loss. It's a medication that really hits the temporal lobes pretty hard and if the dosage isn't just right then the memory will be totally lost at times. I can remember not being able to find my way home one day because of it. It sounds like she is just starting out on her meds so I would suggest that she just sticks with it and keeps increasing the dose as the doctor tells her to do and eventually in a few weeks to a month or so, she should level out and get her memory back. It's a slow process but it will pay off if she sticks with it. I'm not an advocate of medication as a first choice but I know what it can do when a person really needs it. If you need any other information on a specific drug please let me know and I'll be glad to answer any questions you may have.
Take care,
