I just added some before and afters to the right hand side of my blog. You can scroll down to see me during my journey. I'm looking forward to getting back to my goal weight, but for now just eating and feeling better is what it is all about! Raw Rawks! :D

ShelShel, I'm happy to see you are back on track and feeling good! I also wondered how you sliced the jicama. I made those peirogies and loved them. I only had a potato peeler to slice with and they were not nearly as pretty as yours. I might need to invest in a mandolin slicer. Is that what you used?

I used the spiral slicer I purchased from Alissa's Appliance section. It makes great potato chips in the dehydrator too. :D

Thanks for the info on the slicer. I have a spiral slicer. I'll have to see if it's the same one.:)

I didn't have to soak them at all. But I pressed very lightly on the slicer to get nice thin slices. ;)

Moth, Thank you!!!!! I just added a few more pics to the blog because I realized the side ones don't blow up. Also, I added a few pics of the spiral slicer in action with my raw potato chip post. :D Hope that helps others with the questions about it.

isn't it nice to be raw again? although experiencing life with cooked again... gives you a nice perspective on raw i bet!
You are a beautiful girl at every stage (but when you were at your goal weight you look so young almost like a teenager!) With eating raw, I am sure you will get back to your goal weight again soon. :)

Thanks you guys! :)
Yes, Morn. I knew I was gaining, but I was trying so hard to make everyone around me more comfortable. In the end, if I'm not comfortable...what's the point!?!?!?
I'm so much more comfortable in my body when it's on the thin side. I feel more athletic and I really love shopping for clothing!
Thank goodness for raw.
Morn, your new pics are just beautiful. You must be so happy to reach your goal. Congrats!

Sorry Ya'll. Looking at pics of where I was and want to get back to was just killing me. :o I had to delete that blog.
I keep going up and down, back and forth and am so frustrated with myself I don't know where to begin.
So...today...I've started raw again. I'm so inspired by all the other pics on this board, I'm giving it another shot. Thank you for the encouragement. (((HUGS)))

ShelShel - did you join the June challenge by chance? I need to commit too! Good luck to you and join in. I like reading your posts.

Ok, I've started my blog back up and even if I break raw, I'm going to keep blogging in the hopes that it helps keep me on track better. I'm feeling very positive about this.
No, I didn't commit to the June challenge, but I've committed to not throwing out raw altogether if I slip or chose to eat something cooked. It's not an all or nothing mentality now...just a trying my best. ;)
Thanks for the encouragement.
Good for you! I myself cannot do the all or nothing thing either. YOU have to do what works for YOU! I have allowed a few things (that are not technically raw) to be a part of my life as well on a regular basis. Overall I look at it like if these are the things I allow that keep me raw and eating healthy otherwise I am ok with it. I admire the people who can be 100% - 100% of the time - I am not one of them. However, if there are foods that lead me off the path into unhealthy eating that I lose control with then that is a problem and I adjust and abstain from those foods. You are a beautiful girl - I a really mean this - just the way you are! There are many that would switch and be you in a heart beat. Also I respect people that are real (like yourself). It is painful to look at old pictures of me and it was hard to post them - but I used it as a means of motivation. I figured if I didn't like the way I looked I needed to do something about it. Do you know how many people you encourage by sharing your journey with them. So many of us struggle with eating addictions, our weight, body image, etc. Remember we are all in this together. I am glad you haven't given up - lets walk this lifestyle together!
