i have a few questions...
1. over the week we had a heat wave & my coconut oil turned to liquid & is now back to being solid...is it still ok to use?
2. i noticed some of you say you lost lbs. by eating coconut oil every day...how much? do you know why this works?

It's a predominately saturated fat so it liquifies at temps above 75 or so. It' s totally normal. :)
I think that people lose weight when they switch to CO because the oils/fats they were using before made them fat lol. CO is handled much differently by the body than crappy vegetable, canola, and other oils. Your body is able to digest CO quickly and use it immediately for energy because it's a medium chain fatty acid. Long chain fatty acids found in the aforementioned crappy oils take longer to breakdown and cause health problems.
What brand of CO are you using? I just ordered a quart today. A pint lasted me almost 8 months. But I plan on using more this time around.
