Guys, have you ever had a meal that was just so good you could cry?

I've been having these organic oranges lately and... how to say? Just perfect. Perfect. Best oranges I've ever had and I swear they are better than an orgasm. They've been so sweet and juicy and perfect it's all I can do to just cry. I just look at the orange sections, ready to eat, and I feel like drooling. I tell them they are the sexiest, best juiciest oranges and by God does it ever work.

I've been so appreciative of my food.

Has this happened to you?

Ps... I bought conventional oranges the other day and woah, the chemical smell of them was so strong. Didn't even notice it in the grocery store, but when we got home it was just overpowering. Organic really is so much better. Just.. so pure.

My healing of my two illnesses has made me cry. Cry for joy. Just to be able to heal myself by EATING!!! How cool is that?

I know!! It's amazing. Your story is completely amazing.

I've been sturggling so much with raw but seeing this happen -- how GOOD food can be, especially raw... I don't know. It's just pushing me closer and closer. I just love life so much lately and I feel like I'm on a constant high. I just wanna cry for joy too. This happiness is amazing!!!

my latest moan-inducing goodies are the organic tomatoes from the farmer's markets which are just arriving the last couple of weeks. i'm in CA, which means we get great produce all year round, but i have never taken advantage of it until i turned to raw foods, almost 3 months ago. all the local organic produce is incredible, and every couple of a weeks i have a new favorite. first it was blood oranges, then red cabbage, then the apples, then zucchini... and now TOMATOES. i have never had fresh-off-the-vine organic tomatoes before, and they are SIMPLY INCREDIBLE. pure candy. pure AMBROSIA. i buy them a bit cheaper from the "2nds" bin. no problem that they don't last quite as long. with my mouth to feed, they won't last long anyway!

the cherries and peaches and apricots are coming into season, too. it never ends! yummmm!

No food never made me cry - music, spiritual places and people's kindness yes - but i never was overwhelmed by the wonders of taste - my only response to something tasty is eating more, i am overindulging quite often and i cry after - as i have difficulty to loose weight.
Bad smell can make me cry but not from joy!
I am mostly stimulated by pictures and mental pictures created by various sensations and taste is not dominating.

This is so cool, Forager. What an interesting experience you're having.

I did actually get misty when I had a Thai green papaya salad a couple of years ago. Partly because it is a sentimental food, but also because it was like I could feel the vibration and joy in the food as well. In Thailand we try to cook with joy so it goes into the food...I must have had a special chef that day. I never cared for food much before raw...now I actually enjoy food and feel hunger, which used to be rare. It has opened a whole new dimension in my life.

Lucy, curing ourselves by "just eating"....I love the way you put that. Perfectly said!

I have not found myself crying about the food, no!

But I do the "mmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmmm" thing a lot! Especially with nice fresh, ripe, organic fruits.

Fresh homegrown raspberries smell like heaven. There is nothing like them.

I let out an uncontrolled and unexpected shout for joy this morning when I saw that the raspberries in my backyard had ripened.
There is nothing like gardening and foraging to remind one of the beauty and abundance in nature/life.
