Cute!

It's been so long since I've made chocolate chips like these because it wears my patience out squeezing little dots out over and over lol. I used one of those baking/cake icing thingies, the one with different tips to make different flowers and other decorations with frosting.

I don't know what recipe you used, but mine were from the Raw book by Trotter. His recipe you have to dehydrate but they probably would dry out a little on their own.

I used the same recipe as my "Break me off a piece chocolate bar" and you're right, it did take quite a while to pipe these out of an icing bag, but it was worth it, they really look authentic!

1/2 C cacao butter (melted)
1/4-1/2 C cacao powder (depending on how chocolatey you want them)
1/4-1/2 C maple sugar (ground into a fine powder in blender, adjust amount to your liking)
vanilla

mix all ingredients, scoop mixture into icing piping bag with large round tip on the end for making dots, and dot your way across a cookie sheet, refrigerate until hard, then transfer to ziploc and place in freezer.
enjoy!

These look so good!

Would replacing the maple sugar with agave work?

Has anyone made these with cacao powder, cacao butter and agave? If so, what were the measurements of the three ingredients so that the recipe formed chocolate chips?

Thanks!

i would think that since the agave is wet
the resulting chip would remain too sticky to hold it's shape and be handled.

hmmm I wonder if a nut flour would hold it when usign agave

better yet why not just roll Raw raisins in the cacao and cacao/ coconut butter concoction. Then you'd have a sweet soft chocolat chip without the "tedious" chip making

RP's brownie recipie also make for a great chocolate chip flavor
