I invented this a few days ago and it turned out way better than I was expecting, I wanted to make low cost high calorie energy bars and sure succeeded, I don't have exact measures but here's approximately what I put
About 1 cup walnuts
2 bananas
1/2 cup dried shredded coconut
1/4 cup flax seeds
About 4-6 dates
Seeds of 1/2 vanilla bean
Put in food processor to chop and mix ingredients well, spread 1/4-1/2 inch thick on dehydrator sheets and dehydrate about 12 hours or more, until dry but still soft and flexible.
Every one of the ingredients has the advantages of not only being low cost (except maybe the dates), but high in calories. Hopefully these will help me cut my grocery cost, and maybe I can stop buying expensive larabars!
I hope others enjoy these also, I think they are my favorite home made bars so far.
