Hi. I am new here. It is not easy for me to talk about myself, but I'll say a little.:)
I have tried to go raw many many times, but I always fall off the wagon. I am a cooked food addict. I have at least 12 uncookbooks and I have tried very hard, but something or other seems to get in my way. Either I have an emotional upset (and go back to cooked food for comfort) or the recipes take too long or I just get tired of being hungry all the time or I get bored.
But I just finished Alissa's book, and I like her strategy of having lots and lots of food ready, at least until I get into the swing of it. Also, the recipes don't seem to take as much time as the ones in the other uncookbooks.
My health used to be perfect, but after many years of eating badly, I'm getting the effects now. I'm obese, my arthritis is killing me and I hardly move without pain, I'm tired all the time.
So I'm going to try again, but this time with (I hope) a support network to help me stay the course!
