I've had an intermittent ache in my side where my appendix is. It comes and goes every now and again and has done for a few months.

It's not painful, I'm just aware of it. I thought at first it might be trapped wind but it is always in the same place. I've had a LOT of infections / antibiotics over the last few years so maybe my insides are out of balance.

Should I be worried / do anything about it. I've just bought some Oxy-powder as have been a bit blocked up and will start taking that properly this weekend, to cleanse my system.

What do you think?

Although I'll give you some options, what I think really wont matter. You're going to get a lot of people telling you different things and ultimately, you've got to decide.

It's possible it is your appendix yet, it could also be liver/gallbladder and it could also (as likely as anything) be a stuck ileocecal valve. Many people get their appendixes out when it's the latter causing the issue.

If it's in the right lower quadrant of your belly, it could be an appendix problem, it could also be an ovarian cyst. Gallbladder and liver are right upper quadrant pain. CT scan will diagnose these. It could be adhesions, it could be kidney stones,it could be a urinary tract or kidney infection. Persistent belly pain should be investigated to make sure it's nothing worse than the above.
