I am trying to get creative with my foods,

I can only eat blueberries, low acid apples like Gala's & pears. I will occasionally tolerate a peach and that is about it for fruits.

Veggies are better, I don't do well with broccoli for some reason. I really didn't care for kale. I eat spinach, romainne lettuce, carrots, celery. I like sweet peppers but can eat only a tiny bit every now and then. They will flare me. Peas, corn, green beans squash all seem to be ok. No raddishes.

No tomatoes or anything high acid.

I think the nuts are even bothering me a bit.

Help me think of some ways to make my food more intersting

Why don't you make veggie burritos with romaine lettuce leaves stuffed with spinach, julienned veggies, sprouts...and topped with fresh salsa?

That is a good idea, no salsa though for me.

Have you ever tried agar agar or Irish Moss? They are sea veggies and are actually very nutritious with very little flavor. They are used primarily as thickeners.

If you can tolerate nuts like almonds or cashews or at least the nut milks then you can not only make chocolate milk or cinnamon/honey or agave milk , but you can also make ice cream. If you want I can search up a recipe for you that uses the almond milk.

If you add about 1 to 2 tsp of agar agar to any juice like grape juice or apple juice and gently warm in the dehydrator or over a bowl of water just to dissolve and warm a bit and then refrigerate you can have a jello. Not so good with lemons, oranges etc.

You can have steele cut oats with water and agave. I really enjoy that. I soak it over night and wake up and add the agave. It reminds me a bit of grape nuts.

Have you tried mangoes or any of the tropical fruits or the young coconuts? Frozen or dried mango/fruit I just adore.

You could try the peaches and make a peach cobbler with cashew cream or icecream on the side.

Sounds like you have done lots of smoothies.

Can you have watermelon? Any frozen things whiz up great for a margarita/daiquiri drink. Frozen cherries, yum. You can not have those either, I take it?

The corn chowder on the boards is awesome. I would recommend that. If you can not find it, let me know.

Can you have avocados? Those are so very versatile. They are great for many sauces, bases and even the chocolate pudding.

You should go to the store, especially ethnic stores, and see what they have. They have so much variety and so many wonderful things. You may find something new that you just love.

A lot of people like the kale chips on this site. I have not tried it but a lot of people enjoy them. That may be a way for you to enjoy them.

If you can have mushrooms ( you did not say) mushroom jerky is fantastic.

You can make a great oriental sauce with agave or honey and ginger and nam shoyu and garlic and salt to taste. That is great for drizzling over veggies or dipping.

I like to take the podded peas and make fillings and stuff them.

Spinach dip is a good one.

Squash can be made into chips, spaghetti and added to a mixture of frozen sweet corn, some peppers (not so much that you flare though), golden flaxseed flour, and flavors of choice to make veggie wraps that are like for burritos or tacos. Gotta dehydrate those though.

I also take beans and when they are dry (like navy beans) and whiz them to a fine powder. I season them however I want, like cumin, etc and add water to make a sort of paste. Then I put it in a plastic bag and seal and put in the dehydrator to warm for awhile. Instant refried beans. You did not say if you could have them, but I bet if you can have them green you can have them dried?

You could take dried blueberries and apples and add them to the steele cuts oats for the oatmeal or add them to dry oats and add some liquid sweetener and spices for some granola or granola bars. I also like taking the oats and nuts that I can have and sweetener and vanilla and cacao and whizzing together for chocolate energy bars. You can put almond or any nut butter on top for a peanut butter/chocolate treat.

I hope that you can use a couple of these ideas.

Good luck and keep up the great work!

Thanks for all the great ideas. Tiggerbounce, that is an awesome list. I forgot I can have banana's also. I can do mushrooms. I have to watch out for any fruit or veggie that is a natural diuretic becuase my bladder capacity while awake is small-50-100 cc's is usually tops.

I really liked the taste of parsley in my smoothie's but it was really aggravating this bladder condition. I already do the steel cut oats and add fresh fruit to them.

Some of the nuts are bothering me.

I will definately be trying some of this stuff. I have a jucier, dehydrator, food processor & blender, so my kitchen equiptment isn't part of the problem.

Nothing wrong with this. I have heard and saw friend that couldn't do fruits much. So you can try to make green soup (kale, spinach, fresh cilantro, lemon juice, seasonning, avocado and water) or any kind of soup. Soup are very filling and it seems that it correspond very well of what you can tolerate with food. Of course plain simple food, if you don't have attachment to raw gourment all the time are great. I often just eat this for my lunch to work.

You can also make any kind of pate, then roll it into a norri roll and dehydrate them, they are excellent snack. There are so many recipes that don't necessary use fruits or food that you cannot do.

Best wishes!
