Which brand Goji Berries does everyone love best. Have you tried more than one, any you really disliked? I went on Amazon to order some but got confused on which ones to order because I think some people gave certain brands bad reviews just because they didn't like Goji berries at all but then some people said some brands were hard or fishy. I have had Goji berries before but they were bulk from a health food store 2 hours away, so needless to say I'm not driving 2 hours to get them and my local store has some but they are WAY over priced. Any comments on your favorite or least favorite brand would be GREATLY appreciated.

I get them at my health food store. They tend to buy in bulk and repackage. So I don't know what brand.

I bought the ones that Ron Teeguarden endorses (Can't remeber the exact brand, but I know that it's affiliated with Bija). Anyway, they were all hard and got stuck in my teeth...not good. I recently had the pleasure of trying some Goji Berries in a trail mix produced by Go Hunza and found the berries to be soft like raisins and they tasted much better with a better texture.

Hope that helps

Anyone else have a fav. or least fav. brand? I was wondering about Navitas Goji berries since they are from China.

I had some from my coop up here and they were really interesting tasting. Nothing I liked, really, alone. BUT, they had a sort of smokey flavor to them that I thought would be good for making a raw BBQ sauce. Are they supposed to taste like that?

I'd be really careful because supposedly a lot of the goji berries come from China and the organic standards there aren't that great and I've heard that sometimes the berries from there aren't actually even raw. I'm looking for the best, purest source since goji berries are a food that are heavily affected if sprayed or any chemicals are used on them. Thanks for the input though.

At wholefoods, I found GoHunza Goji berry that are sun-dried & raw. They were soft and tastey. The best I found so far, I hate the hard as brick goji berries.

If it's a reputable brand/company, they'll test the berries to ensure it's free of hazardous chemicals. So it really doesn't matter where they come from. I get a couple things that are from China that I know are lab tested.

I like the Navitas brand.

According to Natural News http://www.naturalnews.com/025907.html, the ones from China are ideal.
