Has anyone experienced a problem with their lips feeling burned (as if from the sun) or feeling extremely raw - as if you were to open your mouth too wide they would split open? I know this sounds awful but that is the only way I can describe the feeling. I am slathering on the lipsil non-stop. Thanks for any input here.:)

I've had this problem during a water fast, or if I eat something spicy after a fast.

Try raw coconut oil. I know this isn't the source of the problem but it will help so much to heal. I use this on my skin, burn etc. and it heals quickly.

Having same problem here.

It goes away and then comes back again within couple of days.

What's in lipsil? I've tried a few other things but always go back to the one that works best for me, "Dr. Bronner's and Sundogs Magic". I've been using it for years, long before Dr. Bronner bought it. It's organic jojoba oil, avocado oil, beewax, and hemp oil.

I did have a problem last year with my lips. Very sensitive, red, and the skin was rolling off. I figured the Crest toothpaste I was still using at that time was too strong for my new pure self. ;) I changed to a mild natural toothpaste and stopped putting anything but Sundog on my lips. No problems since. (Knocking on wood.)
