Hi everyone! I am hoping to complete a 30 day juice fast and so far I have completed 3 days, which by the way has been harder than I expected! I was wondering if it is ok to occasionally have some tea with honey? I know it isn't exactly juice but I didn't know how it worked with the whole fasting thing? Thanks! :)

tea yes... i wouldn't do honey myself on a fast... but it's your fast, your call!
i wouldn't do a black tea... but something like an herbal or green would be lovely.

According to the rules of a Juice Feast (www.juicefeasting.com) raw honey is allowed on a juice feast/fast. But we do try to limit it to sweetening tea or something like that - you probably don't want to be eating it out of a jar with a spoon.

Thank you both for your suggestions. I was also wondering if it was ok to add green superfood to my juices?

Yep, green superfood is fine to add to juices. I add some to mine (though about 1/3 of a regular serving, since I figure I'm pretty nutritionally covered through this fast anyway), and most other juicers I know add as well.

Awesome! I have been wanting to use it but I have been staying away from it because I was unsure if I should or not. Thanks! :)

Are you sure?
I've read that a fasting should be plain juice, with no supplements nor super foods.
Maybe I'm mixing this with the MC though.

you can pretty much do anything you want on your own juice feast. some people choose to feast on only veggies, while others do only fruits. some use lots of superfoods while others use none.
it's important to tailor your fast to your needs... that said however, you do need to keep some things in mind... like no fibre.
personally i wouldn't go near alcohol or coffee during a juice feast either.
and if it helps, i'm documenting what i'm taking in on my blog... 'aleesha's raw life' in my signature there's a link.
