Does anyone use the water that nuts have soaked in? I just hate to throw away something that may be of value. Thanks!

Hi Gittel -

it might be of value for killing weeds or something of that nature. I wouldn't use it for anything living as I would think it has enzyme inhibitors in it (from the soaked nuts - that is why it is good to soak the nuts...to get rid of those).

Water from soaked fruit is a different story...great in smoothies and other foods.

Hope this helps!

after soaking sunflower seeds.. i thought i heard there are nutritious enzymes in that water, and to use it in with your smoothie

i pre rinsed before soaking, and then after the initial soaking poured off the water into my smoothie!! hmmm
