Nutrition info for sprouted seeds /

Hi,

I have just started sprouting hemp seeds and i would like to know if the nutrition in the seeds stays the same after they are sprouted. Do they still have the same amount of fat and protein in them ?

They are suppose to be fix somehow so they won't sprout. This is because it is illegal to sprout hemp seed - it being a close relative of marijana.

Sprouted seeds would have more nutrition then the seed but I am thinking it would be different because the plant would use some of the nutrients in the seed to sprout. As for protein and fat - good question. That I don't know.

distant relative, there is a negligable level of thc in hemp, it is next to nothing. it's amazing that such a harmless but helpful plant can be on the restricted plant life list. then again, it sure would be easy to disguise a bunch of pot plants in with your hemp field if everyone was allowed to grow it.

that said, sprouting hemp seeds is possible depending on where you get them from. i've seed viable seeds here in canada. i wouldn't consume whole hemp seeds in the shell that had been "fixed" not to sprout, they wouldn't be raw anymore and hardly as useful to the body anyhow.

Well i have sprouted my hemp seeds over the last 2 days, two batches of them they both sprouted very quickly, in just 1 day.
Im still not sure about the nutritional value of the seeds now they are sprouted, i would love to know if the fat and protein are still the same in the sprouted seeds.

i very much doubt it but i don't think it's been studied so there is no way to tell you for sure. as a seed sprouts it becomes a plant, the conversion must change the nutritional profile quite a bit. contact the seed distributor and see if they know.
