Am hoping for advice!
I do not feel that my digestion is at its best. (translation: poop issues...blush). Does simply going Raw help this....or should I go Raw with food combining? The problem is that I go from OK poops to small shreddy poops. I feel that my food is not digesting properly. Nothing to substantiate that with....except that I've owned this body for 57 years now, and that is my "gut" feeling. (no pun intended) Had a colonocopy about 1 1/2 years ago and everything is OK.
Years ago was told that I had IBS...but got rid of that (I thought) when I took out dairy. Find that wheat makes me puffy and bloated...so I got rid of gluten. Am enjoying the "raw" way of life....although am 75% at this point.
Any suggestions?

learned. Eating enzymes with meals helps a lot. Green smoothies everyday are suppose to help fix the problem. It takes 6 months or more. There are several stories on this website about people taking that long.

Food combining may help. Sure couldn't hurt. Possibly the intestines are clogged up with a lifetime of bad food. There are cleansing programs out there that have good results and reputations. Colonics are suppose to help too. Plus liver and gall bladder cleansers.

What this all boils down to is that there is a lot that needs to be reversed and it is going to take awhile.

Florida Patty is right on. Green smoothies, cleansing, eating well, flushing with water, liver flushes, colon cleansing, PATIENCE and FAITH.

I will just add that I love to talk about poop now! Poop is a big indicator of health and we need to get over our reservations of discussing it. I know it's cultural....blah. We're striving for those long S shaped numbers that come out abundant and effortlessly. And when you get there, wow, you feel like you've emptied out your entire small and large intestine. You feel light and clear. Your abdomen feels flatter and there are so many other benefits. A clear and working colon = great health. Your skin is one of the first things to reflect this, it will also be clear. The biggest benefit of all I think is it becomes odorless which is maybe why most people don't like to talk about it. Because let's face it toxic crap STINKS. But when it's clear, it begins to become odorless unless you're detoxing and P U, then you really know you're letting go of toxins, especially after you've experienced no more stinky poop.

I used to struggle and huff and puff and push and strain and let go of little pea sized hard as rock things every other day for years. LOL. Now I just give a little push and so much comes out in that big anaconda S shape that I'm afraid to flush the toilet! The colon is humungous and so it goes that what comes out of it should be equal in size and length and shape.

It has taken me a year to get up to 6-8 eliminations a day. And maybe I'm a little nuts and it's a stage I'm going through, but I love to go to the bathroom and see what comes out. Is that crazy?!! haha. It just makes me feel like everything I'm doing is working. My body seems to be very happy and so am I.

It just takes time, but you will get there and you will understand exactly what I'm talking about when you do. :D

Ditto to what everyone else said. Just to add on, Alissa's enzymes (I used last year) really do WORK. Even if it is raw foods, I have to be careful with dehydrated... the enzymes (I bought a few bottles of the capsules) worked naturally and I had effortless bm's everytime I used them. I think the enzymes are great for people like me that have had a chronic history of sluggish digestion. I guess that's why I like doing several cleanses. I've got years of "stuff" that never made it's way out in my S.A.D. eating days. I believe by faith that eventually have 3/4 bm's a day. I just wanted to mention Alissa's because they are a brand that I've actually tried that actually worked.

Food combining helps for sure. Also if you feel that your food isn't digesting this is often because there's not enough acid in your stomach and if you take some applecider vinegar with your meal this will add in your digestion. Also those wonderful green smoothies. (I call them predigested.)

All of the suggestions mentioned here are great. I would like to add

When you go, you should be squatting, not sitting! That is the position nature intended. More info here http://www.naturesplatform.com/ .

Thanks for the link. I'm going to check it out it. I purchased a welles step from the specialist who gave me a few colonic treaments a couple years ago. It's been working great and you squat as well, but the naturesplatform seems better engineered.
