Hello guys! how are you?
I just wanted to say hello to all of you and give my congratulations to Alissa for this site. It is really great to have a place where you can share all these things.
I am living in Spain, where I was born 31 years ago, and currently "Raw food" books are not very popular here yet. They are crazy about traditional Mediterrean food which is delicious also ;)
But since I have been working in NY for a while, I had the opportunity to read lots of books about it and I got very interested on this. I have been vegetarian for 6 years (well, let's say 99% to be realistic) but I think the real essence is in raw food, much more than in vegetarian cooked food.
When I read that cooked food was an addiction, something changed on my mind and I started to understand what had been happening for so many years.
Till now, I have been raw for four days, and I have only lost one pound, so I am not very glad about it but I feel quite healthier in general and I will keep trying and being patient about the changes.
Thank you everybody for being so supportive with each other and I hope I can also help and be helped :)
See you on the line,
Veggie73
PD: feel free to correct my english if you find any fault! :)
