View Full Version : Living Our Dreams

Want to share your dreams/goals?

I want more than anything to have a house of my own with a certified commercial kitchen that I can use for classes, catering, etc. I hope that the house could double as a B&B with another smaller non-raw kitchen for guests and my partner to use. I would love to quit my boring, meaningless job and do what I love...teaching people about food and making food for others. I could see it being a non-certified restaurant type place too where people could come, by donation (b/c of laws) and sit down to a romantic raw vegan dinner with their loved ones. To own my own house and be able to do this...now that's my dream.

What's yours?

Raene, that sounds wonderful!
I wonder how a kitchen gets certified. This has always stymied me. It sounds like fun!

I'd like my perfumery company to continue rolling. For my muscial endeavours to develop. Peace in our lifetime.

My Dream is a work in progress. It is evolving as I heal inside and out.
It involves living off the grid, growing food organically, and helping others regain their health through raw foods. Maybe in combination with yoga and energy work. It is all unfolding and the vision will become clearer as I progress! Thanks for asking!:)

I also have a dream of living off grid and having a big organic garden in the summer and having produce year round w/ a greenhouse. This year I am planting an organic garden and I find myself gradually getting closer to that dream. One of my dreams used to be to be raw vegan. :p I'm doing that so my other dreams are in reach, too.
Another dream I have is to travel all over the world.
What a fun thread!

Hey Raene,

You are so clear about this that i am too! I mean i can really see this as a reality for you ! i can see lots of people retreating there, the land.People healing and starting their lives at a more healthy place .As you are a mother it could also add that dimension of how to live this way with our families. You have a lot of knowledge and the fact you want to share it with the world for good ,is a blessing.

I did some Abe Hicks exercises when i was freaked out about a move my family had to make. Visualizing exercises drawing out my perfect move. Everything came out as i imaged!Including manifesting a family home over looking central park, and having the perfect renter from where i was living say "I love you home I will take it!" ( I had to rent out my home in Calif). It was so accurate my imaging to the detail that I can barely believe it myself!. My point, start to be concrete. Photograph some places in your area that appeal to you, etc. You may have started this process and again, you already sound pretty clear. Good luck!

Rawyogini thanks for reminding me. Travel of course! Great one!

I can see us as a people getting back to the land. I feel blessed I'm the only generation off the farm and I have it in me to do this again one day. My cousins all still farm being off the grid is no big deal to them. I'd have to adjust biiiiiig time.

Any word on Jinjee and Storm's off the grid vegan housing development? They were looking for a location last I checked.

Raene, that sounds fabulous!

In many ways I'm living my dream. Well... I should say phase 1 of my dream. Heh heh.

In my 20's, I was in a high-stress career climbing the corporate ladder. I was making good money for a 20-something kid, but I was single, lonely and miserable.

Finally, I walked away from that career, happy to take a huge pay cut in order to start living the way I wanted to live. Shortly thereafter I met my now-husband (the most amazing man on earth!!), started my own business, and we now live on a beautiful acre in a beautiful house and I am loving every minute of having my own business that I operate from home.

Now, my ultimate dream would be to have four children (I'm 37 now and none of our pregnancies have made it past the first trimester, so this one has some urgency! and yes, we are totally open to adopting), several acres of land, and a house where the six of us can live in bliss. We'll have a greens-and-herb garden, plenty of room for the kids to run and play outdoors, and space for me to homeschool them.

To be honest, we have room for 4 kids in the house we're in now. And there's a decent amount of land for kids to run and ride bikes and play hard. So really, all we need are the 4 kids! (At my age, I really should be happy if we're able to have ONE... but hey, we're talking about big dreams, so there ya go! :D)

I really love everyone's responses. Beautiful dreams/goals that we're all capable of achieving.

Apasaraw, yes, Jinjee and Storm found land and even have 6 committed families now. Sounds like heaven if that's what you want :)

Care4Raw, I am a huge Secret fan and I do believe this is going to happen in the next year. I have been picturing the exact house I need and I feel it coming. Thanks for the reminder that we can manifest whatever we'd like!

Living off the grid, having a huge organic garden and acres of land I can put fruit trees on and a wind turbine :) Using less carbon than I put out would be nice.

Having a no kill cat shelter/sanctuary also run off the grid. All the cats would be raw foodists.

Being a raw foodist.

Moving out of Florida and going somewhere green, open, and preferrably with mountains and fresh spring water. Oh, and a spring in my land somewhere so I can bottle my own water. Yup. That's the life.

I have my dreams for a long time - I envision a house of my own on the large lawn surrounded with mature trees and little garden, sunshine....sunshine outdoor and inside the house - my office, studio filled with books and art projects, I am writing and painting there.... people visit me I have many friends, I invite them for raw weekends, I host and facilitate presentations and workshops about health, raw food, esoteric knowledge and art, I lead art workshops, I have online and real store/gallery where people can buy natural products, art, paintings, artistic souvenirs. I invite other artists to exhibit and teach, I invite raw chefs to teach and show their artistic abilities... I am in this house with a man of my dreams.( I never knew his face) We work together, travel together and share same passions, friends and taste... my life is easy, pleasant, I am fulfilled by doing things I like and do best...we are financially comfortable and have time and peace to fully enjoy life... we are healthy and we help other people achieve their dreams and potential - in art and health. We swim often and spend time in nature hiking, visiting beautiful places.... we laugh together and with our friends. I am skinny, happy and safe, i am a writer, an artist, motivator and teacher and great host.

In the meantime i dream about bigger studio -preferably walk in studio/gallery with apartment upstairs - so some of the things can be achieved on the smaler scale... without the garden... but i still dream about my other half...
to live true life and found true love

I would like to experience a lot of good times in my life. But i think to identify oneself too much with a dream puts you into a state of lack. You know can only feel complete while working on your dream. Everything that happens to you is beeing seen through the glasses of expectation. See it doesnt work for me.

Maybe for me its better to open my mind, appreciate everything that happens to me. Everything is possible but there is no pressure from anybody. I am a small island in the stormy sea.

If we deal with life from a standpoint like that: "Ohhh i am not successful, i am not feeling good, i should be doing this and not doing this. I have to do this, i cant do that".... on and on and on...

-When you get into a position of self-destruction. Its difficult to explain. Its a long way and you have to learn how to deal with your emotions. Nothing can knock you out if u dont let it knock you out. Its a lot about responsibility, its a lot about beeing independent from other people and circumstances. There is a lot to experience that finally keep someone on constant path of passion.

Ok one dream of mine, that i hope to achieve. I want to be part of a raw tropic community and garden a huge variety of fruits and plants. Building community that is able to live independently.

dream in progress:

we found a house last week, an amazing 12 bedroom former rectory for our 'little' collective - 15 people, 3 dogs, 5 cats/kittens (!). we plan on an entirely edible lawn, transitioning the oil heat system to waste vegetable oil, eventually investing in solar panels down the line, turning the 4-season porch into a greenhouse to grow sprouts and greens and seedlings, getting the kitchen certified as a commercial kitchen and starting a catering business out of our home.

so while i am buried in loan applications, state tax forms, public charity paperwork, the general laws of the commonwealth of Massachusetts, photos of the place, and email/phone correspondence with 15 people and the handful of people advising us... i can't stop thinking or talking about it, so it is probably for the best that i can't get to anything else. :D

(and if this property doesn't work out, there are a couple other similar places going up for sale this year and we'll go with the flow :))

My dream is to help as many people as possible stop living paycheck to paycheck (my husband and I own a marketing company), move to Montana, build a log cabin, live the green life and watch the wild life every morning I wake up with a cup of hot water and lemon. Fireplace outside would be nice in cold months:)

One dream was to live where I currently live, at the ocean, in a beautiful, beautiful place....and after a few clicks of the lens, the new dream is to have the freedom and abundance to spend the cold winter months traveling to other countries and then to come back to "home base" for the spring/summer. I have always wanted to go to South America, and the dream is taking shape! I have an amazing opportunity to teach massage therapy skills to locals in a village in the Andes in Ecuador, and I have zero-ed in on where I'd like to spend time after that! I seem to be finding opportunities and connections very easily around this dream and I feel very blessed...:):):)

I want to write...I have been having dreams for the past couple years in which I am a writer, or I hear a voice telling me to write....! I write for myself, but my fears are in letting my writing be seen by other people!! I will get over this and you will see it happen soon....within the year!:)i hope...hehe

Oh yeah, I want to live in Los Angeles....I feel so drawn to LA, and the ocean...It is a beautiful city! I go once or twice a year, maybe one of these times my husband and I will just go and not come home!!!

I'm going to school for marine biology. I currently have a non profit organization that I put together for after I earn my degree. Its called Safe Keep Marine Sanctuary. I want to protect our marine life and help endangered marine life. I also want to start breeding programs for those endangered species. I want to focus on other species as well: the whale shark, green sea turtle and sharks. Ocean life is amazing! I recently starting getting my many needed certifications for different scuba diving levels. I want to be able to educate people on preserving our oceans.

this sounds so good Christinajade....looking forward to hearing what you're doing when you get you're degree. We learned so much about turtles last yr. It was amazing.
I have land but it's not like I would like. I would like a large garden for our produce and to sell. I've always wanted a store that would carry 'health food' store products at prices we can afford. Now, that I'm enjoying this lifestyle, I want to incorporate it into the store.

i found this thread the other day and i love it.
i dream of being healthy in mind, body, & spirit. for the short term my goal is to become completely vegan and 80% raw. in the long term i see myself at 100% raw and happy in leading others to raw food.

sort term (within a yr)
there is a huge need for information about organics and the importance of food in my area. once i am more informed myself, id like to get a movement going at my university. id like to set up a web-based store selling organic products, equipment for outdoor enthusiast, books on green living, ect. id like to grow enough organic fruits and veggies to sell at a local farmers market. id like to become one of the several snack/food/juice bars at my school, offering raw smoothies and other raw & vegetarian goodies.

long term (as long as it takes)
id like to set up a physical store specializing in green living.
also i would like to set up a raw restaurant in my area, one where most of the produce is organically grown on site (do you guys know if this is allowed by the gov?). graduate with my degree in envi science. become active in the movement for alt fuel for this country and then the world.
one day see my dream of a 0-low tch hemp farm for the intent of making many organic products including fuel. :D

above all finding true love:
someone who i love fully
someone who will love me freely
someone who has a passion for nature and the outdoors
can we be specific cause if he had an english accent, well that would be great....then again i have always had a thing for germans:rolleyes:

i read here about things like visualization where can i find more info on that...i would love to see my dreams materialize...

Children.

While my husband and I plan to adopt we would like one or two of our own.

It's simple by heart breaking at the same time. I know my body is more likely to work if I'm healthy.
