Hello,
I read in a article on bodybuilding.com that - Greens and Fat are our body-builders.
Is this true ?
I have started to bodybuild again after taking some time of after going raw, and i really want to put some muscle back on.
So should i be eating lots of greens and fat ?
Paulie.

You "should" be eating a variety of foods to get the full spectrum of nutrients. Greens are particularly important.
Alissa was/is a bodybuilder. She used what she teaches to build her body and never have I seen her stress fats over anything else. Greens and their importance came out in Victoria Boutenko's book.
Doug Graham is an athlete and he does not stress fat, far as I know. Tim Van Orden is an athlete and he doesn't stress excess fat. Dr. Ruth Heidrich is a tri-athlete and she doesn't stress excess fat.
So, what is "excess"? For me, eating a variety and getting live nutrients and enzymes is what will get you what you want.

Thanks Revvell,
I can remember reading on this forum a little while back about fats and greens,
And i cant remember if its calcium or magnesium (maybe something else), that is needed for you to put on weight,
And eating fats WITH your greens gives you alot of this mineral, whichever one it is. lol.
I hope atleast one person understands what i am trying to say here.
Paulie.

Doug Graham recommends 80% raw fruits and vegetables, 10% protein, and 10% fat. That's not very much fat!! His books are really good on the subject I think.

Steve Arlin in California has a book about body building. I forget the title---Raw Power, maybe. Good luck.
You're right, I think about DG and fitness vs bb. His point is still good, Ithink. It's exercise and rest that builds muscle, and the best way to assure good muscle growth is to eat the foods for which our bodies are most suited---raw fruits, greens, other vegetables, and a few nuts and seeds...in that order.
I hope you'll post whatever you find out from wherever!

I will
Thanks,
I ordered some organic hemp seeds and they should be here very soon.
Im going to try sprouting them and i will have i think 1onze a day with a salad and see how i get on, that should still keep the fat intake quite low about 20% its usually 10% but atleast it will give me the EFA i need and a protein boost.
I never really add any fats to my diet its always been fruits with greens, so maybe even a little added fat will help,
Paulie
