Hi everyone, I'm living in Central Oregon. I have read some of the posts from the people in the midwest, I am originally from Omaha. I have to say the raw food lifestyle is much more known here. We are a pretty "green" state. So more of the population has knowledge of vegan, vegatarian etc... Next time I'm in Omaha, I would love to meet up with you raw huskers! (huskers will always be in #1 in my heart!!)
I have thought about moving back to Omaha, but I think it would be a tough adjustment to my lifestyle here in Oregon.
Anyway, I am blogging about my journey on a 28 day cleanse. It is bascially a raw food diet with special blend of herbs and special "shakes" to detox and clean. I am really wanting to continue this way of eating after the 28 days. So I am leaning on this site pretty heavy for support. And my cleansing friends.
Feel free to send encouraging words. I am overweight and wanting to get back to "wedding weight" which actually I wasn't that skinny. It would just be a reasonable place for me. Now senior in high school weight would be unrealistic! I'm 5'6" and wanting to be in the 130's. I was 110 in high school! Now as of today I'm at 189. So I have a ways to go. It's funny because I have so much knowledge of nutrition and healthy lifestyle, I have just chosen comfort foods to deal and/or avoid stress. I'm on a journey to change that as well. I have stuffed the feelings with food and I'm beign coached now to allow myself to feel. I'll keep updating on that journey on my blog as well.
In the mean time, well wishes to everyone.
Peace.
