What do you do with the apple cider vinegar mother? It seems so healthy that I would like to use it, but I don't know how. I'd hate to just throw it away. (I must tell you that I'm not crazy about the taste of acv. Too bad.)

Are you talking about home brewed mother or the stuff that is in the bottles from the store?

From my experience, there hasn't been large amounts of mother (a collected matt of the acetic acid bacteria that make ACV and cellulose ) and I just shake it up and it blends into the ACV to make it cloudy.

I have the Bragg brand. (It's raw and organic.) It has what looks like an apple slice in the bottom of the bottle.

I buy the Bragg's brand too. I just shake up the bottle and it all get's dispersed, then I use it in whatever I'm making.

Put it in a smoothie and you won't taste it....the mother, that is, not the vinegar.

In a smoothie is a good idea, but will the vinegar flavor be overpowering? What do you think? I'd like to mask the flavor.

Previous bottles did not have such a large slice of the mother and mixed well when shaken. This one--not mixing well.

Every time I use my ACV I shake the bottle and then you have a little bit of the mother in what your using each time.

I'd imagine it would work all right in a citrusy smoothie...lemons, oranges, etc.
