somehow I have run out of GS greens (kale, spinach, chard) and all I have left for the week is mesclun greens. Anyone ever try this? I don't have enough to spare to make it and have to toss it and I'm outta food-moolah til next payday. I'm thinking it's going to taste VERY GREEN and possibly bitter? any advice as to what goes well with it? thanks:)

I happen to enjoy the peppery taste of mesclun in a gs. If you find it too bitter for your tastes, you can always add agave and/or blend it up with mango and blueberries. ~ Cathy

I do it daily.

I use mesclun lettuce mixed with kale, red leaf, etc. almost every day in my smoothies. You can adjust the amount of fruit, or add agave or honey if it tastes bitter.

I like bananas, orange juice, and frozen wild blueberries in my gs with mesclun greens. It diminishes the peppery taste quite nicely.
Of course, if you don't have those ingredients, and no money, then you'll just have to work with what you have.

since there have been a LOT of rec to switch it up onhere lately I have begun to alternate mesclun with spinach (at least for the past week)

the taste is still mild to me, and I like it better than romaine lettuce. The onlt smoothie I have had to choke down was one made with lots of mustard greens.
