I've been wanting to try a green smoothie, and have a few different ideas of what to put in one. However, the only bananas I have right now are frozen. Can frozen bananas be used in green smoothies? Or are they supposed to have nothing frozen? I came home early from work not feeling well, and was hoping to be able to have one a little later ... providing I can work around this banana issue. :)

Thanks for any help!!

Go for it! Many people use ice cubes. I don't. If I don't have a fresh 'nana, I use a frozen one. Enjoy!

are you talking about the green smoothie made with greens?
I have been drinking them with bananas, mango, frozen strawberries. I even drink them after a meal.
Great Stuff

I sometimes throw a frozen banana into a green smoothie. It adds thickness and makes the smoothie colder, really nice!

Do whatever you want, Carolyn. There are no hard and fast rules!!

The kitchen sink won't blend, so just stop before you toss that in.

(My frozen bananas are reserved for my favorite ice cream snack, so I don't use 'em in smoothies myself. My priorities are obvious, huh.)

LOL!

I think of green smoothies as a way to get my greens. Whatever fruit I have to add to make my greens palatable is good.

Thanks for all of the replies, everyone!! :)

I've never been very adventuress in the kitchen, so I'm still learning on this. Just tossing everything together, I hate to admit, is still difficult for me. Pretty bad, I know! :(

lol ... RawTruth, thanks for the laugh! Somehow I just don't think I'd try the kitchen sink ... but it could add a form of "roughage"! :D
