need advice on saltwater flush during juice fast

this is my first juice fast and i have been raw for approx 3/1/2 months. i instinctively felt i needed to do this and just started, so i didnt have any senna, phylum or enema kits. i just read that it can be harmful if there are no or few bm's because the body will reabsorb the toxins.
as i dont have anything else i want to do a saltwater flush, but i am not sure whether i can use ordinary salt. it says mineral salt, and i dont know what that is. can i use just pink himalayan sea salt?

Any kind of sea salt will be fine.
Remember, 1 qt. of warm water with two tsp. salt! Taken first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
I've always had great success with swf, but I always did it on a water fast. I've never tried juice fasting before. Good luck!

I have been raw for 3 months and after the first month or so I started doing the SWF, mainly because it's known as the 'poor man's colonic'. :p I knew I needed to do SOMETHING to help my body get rid of all the toxins being stirred up by being 100% raw. I really like doing the SWF, but a friend of mine (not raw, but wanting a cleanse of some sort) tried it and experienced dizziness a couple hours afterwards. I can't be sure if she did everything correctly though.

Anyway, give it a try, the salt is not absorbed into the bloodstream so no worries!

oh whoops. i am not very good at following instructions. i hope i didnt do any damage. :eek: i completely guessed at all the measurements and i'm pretty sure it was way less than a quart of water i used. i did it before i looked at the replies. i was too impatient.
well lots of liquid was passed (from the rear) but nothing solid really. i was hoping for mucoid plaque or something. is it because i did it wrong?

rawstrength i wanted to ask you has your pmt gone now? i remember you writing before. well i just had awful pmt, but started the juice fast the day before my period and have had hardly any bleeding which is a first for me.
