I've been 100% raw for the best 10 months and have recently developed muscle aches in my arms that won't go away even after physio. I've been researching lack of B12 and or calcium in my diet. I started on both these supplements today and am wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms?
I am eating LOTS of veggies, green smoothies, super foods etc and LOVE the raw diet lifestyle. Oddly enough, my sister developed the same symptoms months ago and it hasn't gone away so we're examining our diet to see what's missing.
Any advice appreciated:)

Plain water? Are you drinking distilled or...?

Thank you both.
bluejaunte,
Yes I tried coconut water but don't have it that often. Should I drink a glass everyday?
Revell,
I drink water from our tap but we have a filtered system. That is something I need to improve on. I know I don't drink enough. Should I be drinking 1 or 2 litres a day? My sister drinks 2 litres a day and has since she started raw but it hasn't helped her achy arms. Maybe trying the coconut water would help.

Just a long shot but are you currently cutting out caffeine. I've been trying to quit caffeine for years and it's the only bad thing I just can't kick 100%.
When having caffeine withdrawl muscle aches and what feels like a dehydration headache are common.

rawfoodistdavid,
Thanks, I use both raw cocoa & organic cocoa so am still getting caffine. I'm going to continue with the Vitamin D, B12, and Calcium supplements since I haven't been taking any supplements up to this point except liquid iron.

O.k., I just remembered what helped with pain I use to have ~ wheatgrass. Started with one shot then did 2 oz. a day. No pain, anywhere, ever.

Revvell,
Thank you, I've never had wheatgrass before. I have a Vitamix and saw somewhere that someone made it with water & wheatgrass in their Vitamix. Do you make your own? I have a really old juicer like 12 old or older.
