hi there everyone,

just wanted to jump in and introduce myself :) i am a mom to 4 awesome kids, ranging in age from 15 to 2...and have been married to my soulmate hubby for almost 6 yrs. we live in southern cal and i have been recently introduced to the raw lifestyle. it happened by accident, but it was the best thing that has happened to me thus far in my journey to 'optimum health'.

i will be 41 on june 1....(wow...it is getting closer huh!) and well, my story in a nutshell....been preggers pretty much for the last 15 yrs...but lost 4 babies due to m/c. i have been struggling with ppd for roughly 15 yrs. even after m/c. i believe i have been suffering from hormonal imbalances and i am just sick and tired of being sick and tired. the SAD diet is not for me :) :) ....and so i have made a promise to myself and my family that i am going to get myself well!

i am leery of western medicine and have not had any 'tests' done etc...but since january of 07 i have been med's free (zoloft for ppd) and boy was that a blast coming off of....i picked up dr. joel fuhrmans book 'eat to live' and it changed my life....i soon discovered that giving up meat, dairy, caffiene (i was a major coffee addict) and processed foods was the answer for me.

i have about 15 lbs i would love to lose, but i look at that as secondary to being healthy, happy and energized...basically the person i use to be before my last and most serious bout of ppd with my last baby. i have been 95% raw for the last month and i am currently hoping to make May my 100% month....

i would love join the challenge!! thanks for reading and i look forward to getting to know all you wonderful peeps!

God bless

Just want you to know that I want you to keep that promise you made to yourself. Feeling well physically and emotionally is such a priceless blessing. If you haven't read Alissa's book and watched her DVD, I'd recommend it...they are very encouraging, packed full of recipes and all the information you need to answer your raw questions. Sending success your way....Judith
