Guys i all of a sudden got a cold on Monday.. first my throat hurt- but i had this cayenne tea (the recipe for which i found here somewhere) and it went away the next day. Then my nose got worse- now my whole head just feels so stuffy and now i cough too!
What to do people hellllp! I need to perform 2 dances this saturday.. have practice tonight... uuh. Also, this cold started exactly when i got my period- could there be any connection at all? hm
So- please tell me some ways i can feel better sooner- something i can eat/drink/apply?
THANK YOU

You may simply be releasing mucus and toxins from your lungs and sinuses...detox? I don't know why, but ginger root seems to help me with congestion.
If you have grapeseed oil extract or apple cidar vinegar, add a tbs or 2 to water and it should help as well. Drink more water, get lots of rest and see yourself well in your mind. Will the cold away and don't focus your attention on it.
edit: a really good cure that I almost forgot...in the future, at the first sign of a sore throat or cold coming on, cut up 2-3 cloves of garlic and swallow them down with a glass of water. Works wonders. You may even want to just do that now...Garlic is a super healer and wipes out most viruses.

There's no such thing as a "cold". You can possibly ease the symptoms by doing some of the things suggested yet, detox will take the time it needs.
Honor your body that it can do this instead of trapping all that gunk in it and creating something worse. Your immune system is doing it's job. Instead of fighting it, help it along with warm water and lemon juice; ginger tea, etc.
People will tell you to rest, I say MOVE! That's the way lymphatics work. MOVE! IF tired, rest. If not, MOVE! Assist the lymphatics in their work.

What about using a netie pot? You use it to rinse out your sinuses and it's a very simple procedure. I saw they were for sale at Walgreens;however, you could call a health food store and see if they have them. Do a Google on Netie pots and you will find all kinds of information on how to use them. If you don't want to invest in that, just use Saline spray and try to flush out your sinuses that way. It helps me clear my head and helps get rid of the gunk. They have a couple of videos on how to use the netie pot on utube.

If you really are too tired to excersize, skin brushing is a fantastic way to get the lymph flowing and speed your detox.
I hope you feel well soon!
Postive thinking, my dear ;) .

Just an update guys.. i kept feeling pretty bad these days. Then i called my mom back in Ukraine and she recommended an old remedy- boil water, add powdered mustard and put your legs in it (well of course add some cold water too.. just enough to make it..bearable i guess) after 20 minutes or so i just dry my feet, put 3 pairs of socks on and go to sleep under a warm blanked. Basically it just speeds up the detox i suppose..since you start sweating and all- IT's AMAZING!!! i feel much better!

Aha!! You just made me remember why the ginger root works. It makes you SWEAT if you drink the tea before you go to bed. You literally sweat the toxins out. Your method sounds great too and glad you're feeling better.
