Hi -
New here - hello all. Quick question - thanks in advance for any replies. Reading all your oatmeal posts inspired me (hungrily) to soak some raw oatgroats overnight....SUNDAY. 'Tis now Wednesday and I've been so busy I haven't had a moment to play with them! They're in a clear canister of water....are they ok to eat? I know they spoil easily after air exposure....I'm afraid to try them - but to eager to soak another batch for tomorrow. Any horror stories or tales of glee? Thanks again and I love reading all of the posts from everyone - I've slowly, but surely, self-taught this new way of living, thanks to you all.

Had you rinsed them daily at all? If not, I think [b]I'd[/i] probably not eat them. Did you smell them? Were they in the fridge or out on the counter?

I think as long as you were rinsing them AND they don't smell badly to you, then they might be okay...otherwise, I'd probably toss them and soak a new batch tonight for in the morning!

Thanks for the info. BOY, did I soak them too long. I've never smelled anything so awful! I learned my lesson.
