i have ground them up in the past.. for a flour used in recipes

don't remember having much success with sprouting.........

trying to get back to my healthy living again!! :)

i am currently soaking them, and also soaking some wheat germ.
i thought i read somewhere about the wheat germ?? not sure about that

i want to be able to get any additional health benefits possible.. but just to be sure i am getting the process down!

also.. just read lately, this should be done in the refrigerator?

just checking........ thanks!!

I think it depends on how you are going to use them. If I am using them for flour, I wouldn't soak them. If I am eating them for breakfast, I soak them in the fridge for 24 hours, then blend them with a banana & some almond mylk. I suggested soaking them in the fridge so they don't get yucky. However, I don't know if they will actually sprout if kept in the fridge (too cold???). Perhaps someone else can say for sure.

yeh, i am not sure about the soaking thing. i did overnight.. rinsed a couple times, but i can't really tell if they started to sprout. it looked as if something was going on... but also seemed to be almost gooey at the ends of the sprouts.
hmmm??

i tasted them, they seemed ok!
i only soaked them because i thought that makes them more nutritious!!
oh well.. still not sure.
oh.... and i didn't do this in fridge.. just on the counter

so if you are going to use as a flour, don't bother soaking?
