I'm visiting family in Phoenix and am looking for restaurants that serve raw food, specifically veggie juices (I'm in the midst of a juice fast). Suggestions?
I'm looking for "deep green" juices, namely kale, collard/mustard greens, spinach, etc. The celery and carrot juices (eg, from the Jamba Juices of the world) do not quite do it for me.
My family's place is in north-central Phoenix (close to 16th St & Union Hills), and the closest thing I've seen yet that might work is a Robek's on Tatum & Bell. Their (Robek's) juicer was broken today, and they only have a spinach-carrot-celery blend, but when I asked the guy at the counter if I could bring my own veggies (probably buy the organic kale, etc from Whole Foods) to them to juice, he said that he would not expect any problems with them doing that.
Whole Foods on Tatum and Shea has recently just acquired a veggie juicer but has yet to make it operational and offer a menu around it. So that might work in a week or two, but not for the next couple days.
Other suggestions?
