I don't know if it's ok to post this in this, or any, forum, but it is health related and I thought it was funny. If it's not appropriate I understand if it gets deleted as this has nothing to do with raw food.

This is hilarious. I'm an ER nurse and I'm amazed at what some people come into the ER for, and equally amazed that they want a drug for something that they can change by quitting smoking, eating properly, getting a little exercise...etc.

Lol...this is awesome!! Totally hilarious. It's scary how relevant it is though. But those types of commercials (I mean the real ones) are a big part of the problem. Sometimes whatever they're advertising a pill for, you think you have it. These commercials scare you. So does other media like magazines. It seems like the more we know about health and diseases, the more worried we are that we have something wrong with us. And even if we don't, we better protect ourselves like crazy to make sure that we don't contract the latest disease.

So true! Even in nursing school as we studied each system we were all convinced we had whatever disease or disorder was discussed. I don't know how many people thought they had brain tumors, aneurisms, crohns, leukemia...you name it! Some of the ER patients even come in asking for prescriptions for things they have seen on TV rather than have to wait a month or so to see their PCP. I wonder if it's only in the US that people want that instant gratification.
