Does anyone know how I could find out the process of rolling oats? I am wanting to find out if organic rolled oats are raw? I made some granola with oat groats but it was not as good as I had hoped and am wondering if rolled oats are out?
Thanks so much!

Hi there!
Pre-packaged rolled oats are generally not raw as heat/steam is used in the rolling process.
However, many of us here are making our own rolled oats using oat groats and this wonderful little gadget: http://tinyurl.com/3mngn
Now, this is a real steal...$24 for something that is being sold other places for $84 (or something close to that price)!
We've been having raw oatmeal, making oatmeal cookies and grawnola.
So, check it out (act fast because that particular website/company is gonna be discontinuing this product hence the low price) and up top there's a little icon with a banana on it (Search button)...type in "raw oats" or "oatmeal" and see all the creative ways we're using our grain flakers! :)

Thank you so much for the info and link Rawkinlocs! I just placed my order!
Ksabe98, when I went to that link it did come up as the $47.95 but at the top left of the page there was a google cache and if you look on the 3rd line down there is a hotlink that says Click here for the current page without highlighting....click there and it takes you to the current page which is http://www.villaware.com/store_item.asp?ProductID=2368 and that price is $23.95 which I just placed my order for.....hope that helps!
I am so excited, I just love, love, love new kitchen toys!! Thanks! :D
