Does anyone have any ideas for me to lighten my hair? For 2 years I have used henna to make my strawberry brown hair redder and darker but not I want it lighter, even almost blond. In the past I've tried lemon juice with bad results...sort of wondering if there is a good brand to try or something new.

Chammomile tea. I used to buy it bulk. I would get about a cup of flowers to use at a time. Boil them in some water and let it steep until it cools to the touch. Strain the liquid and discard the flowers. Then pour this over your hair, but use something to catch the liquid in. You're going to be reusing this. Squeeze out the exess and let your hair begin to dry. When it is almost dry, repeat the process. Do this 2-3 (or more) times. This will bring out the golden highlights.
I used to do this until I went to a woman who does your colors. I don't think they do this any more. They used to tell you if you were a spring, summer, winter or fall and what colors to wear. She couldn't decide if I was s spring or summer but told me my hair was ALL wrong and instead of a golden hue it should be ash. So I would keep dying it ash and it would keep going back to the same golden color as the dye wore off. Just not as light a golden as it was when I used the chammomile tea.
Since then I have gotten many compliments on my hair color from hair dressers so I've decided that lady who did my colors was just wrong. :D
