View Full Version : Raw Pecan-Date Dessert

Serves 6.

All you need is a food processor.

A simple dessert that takes less than 10 minutes to prepare.



Ingredients
1 pound pitted Medjool dates (soaked)
½ pound raw pecans
½ cup date water
2 tablespoons coconut oil
½ teaspoon sea salt
5 dashes organic cinnamon powder

Preparation




Blend dates, pecans and date water for 1 minute, until it has a creamy-like consistency.



Add coconut oil and cinnamon powder to the mixture.

Blend for 1 minute.

Finally, add the sea salt and blend mixture for 30 seconds.

This is a very rich recipe, so only eat 1 Tbsp at a time.

I prepared this recipe for a potluck and it was gone within 2 hours.

One person said that it tastes like sweet potato pie.

Rhazula,

I have been living to make a raw pecan pie. Would this recipe work for the filling? I could then make a nut crust and put raw pecans on top.

Please let me know if your recipe is reminiscent of pecan pie filling.

yes, it can be used as a filling..and yes it's reminiscent of pecan pie filling

the completed recipe is thick with a peanut-butter like consistency.
