Hi everyone,

I'm new to the board, but have been so inspired by you all, I decided to do the 30 day detox. Today is day 20 and it's been going quite smoothly, but today was also a huge lesson. I was in a hurry this am, so I stopped by the co-op and picked up cooked stuffed grape leaves for lunch. I figured if I was going to eat cooked food, this was a mild choice. But later I also ate cooked nori. As I was working on a client (I'm a massage therapist), I felt the food traveling inside me, it felt like putrid garbage that my body was trying to expel as fast as possible. I had to leave in the middle of my session because of all the cramping in my intestines. Diarrhea ensued. I went back to the massage, only to end it early due to the need to vomit, 4 TIMES! It's a few hours later and I'm still feeling ill, but I'm happy this has transpired. Now I have this painful memory to utilize whenever cooked temptations pass my way. I pick hunger over this torture anyday.

Glossary you sound like me kinda! I get horrible reactions when I eat cooked foods, even the "healthy" ones! It sure keeps me inline!
