Is there a rule for soaking times? I'm sure it depends on the nut, fruit whatever being done. But I didn't see anything in the index on soaking. Like just for dates or raisins for a recipe, any suggestions? Are the nuts a certain number of hours or overnight? I perceive most will do the buckwheat or raw grains overnight, or am I wrong on this one?
Thanks for all your "cooking" insight!!

24/48 hours would be good enough.

I did look again in the book and with the sprouting times, it has soaking. Would that be the correct times for just soaking no sprouting?

For raisins and dates you don't have to soak them to long just 1 hour or less will do. I soak mine for about 5 mins before using them in warm water. Nuts will need to soak for 24/48 hours but they do not sprout, some will grow in size but they won't sprout.

Alissa has really great charts in the sprouting section of her book.
