I just read a fasting book it's called the miracle of fasting, you can order it at www.bragg.com it was good!
I know I need to start fasting, because I got a disease I want to fully get rid of! I know if anything will get rid of it, this will!
The reason I'm asking if fasting cures diseases or not- it isn't because I don't believe it (I do believe it does), but my Mom doesn't! She said now how do you know it cures diseases! It might prevent the symptoms, but the symptoms could come right back! Now that makes me mad! It makes me want to spit fire, because it's like saying nothing cures health problems! That just makes me feel like she's saying you just better give up!
What can I say to her to prove that she's wrong?
By the way does your blood sugar get too low while fasting because that's another thing my mom says to me to that I should worry about!
Anyway, Thanks in advance, have a fruitful day!

I think you are both right. Fasting can Cure SOME diseases for the moment BUT if you go back to your old way of life.........Whatever it is WILL return. Most trouble with our bodies arrive from what is eaten, if you change what goes into your Body.....You can change your Health.

Watch the Animals, they Fast all the time. I don't care how Greedy an Animal is, when they are sick.......They don't eat. They will also search for Grass to eat.

Have a RAW Day...........

Thanks again for your info! I agree with you! Your right inorder to make progress and cure things you have you have to clean your body out and from that point stop putting trash into your body that's making you sick & ill! And to keep cleaning out every so often!
I believe in that, but I don't know if she will still believe in it 100% because her and my dad believe know matter what, that you can't prevent diseases like cancer if they run in your family and if you don't get it, it's only because it skips generations and if it skipped you, your the lucky one! Do you have any idea what I can say to them about this? If not thanks anyway for your time and help!

Have a raw day too!

I'm not sure there is anything you can say to convince your mother one way or the other. If she has a belief... then it is her belief and her opinion and there you go.

What will change your Mother's opinions is if you set the example... be the example.... If you can change your patterns and your habits... thru healthy living and live vibrant foods... and MAINTAIN that LIFEstyle... then you will begin to glow with radiant health.

she will see that -- the whole world will see that.

but if she is of a negative mind set -- then -- she will simply shrug her shoulders and say -- well- you're the lucky one - it skipped your generation. But... we both know this may not necessarily be true...
It may be that you have taken responsibility for who and what you are -- and what you feed your body and the care that you give yourself.

The most you can do... and the very BEST thing you can do is to NOT try to convince her one way or the other... simply be the very best you that you can be!

Yes, fasting will help your body to cure dis'EASEs.... because when your body doesnt have to use up all of it's energy digesting foods.. then it can go and begin to work on other areas of your body ... such as healing what needs to be healed!

but -- spicyfull has given you some very important advice.... Fasting is NOT A MAGIC PILL... it is hard work and it is ONLY THE BEGINNING of what you will need to do. It takes time to heal -- make sure you give yourself the time you need to heal.

Once you are done fasting... then begins your journey of taking excellent care of yourself thru proper and healthy eating, wise choices, exercise --- all of those things combined are ALL necessary to heal and to maintain that healing!

blessings on your journey... remember... nothing is impossible to those who believe!!!

RAWk on!!!

it depends what the disease is... for example i don't think that people with diabetes should fast until they have been raw for awhile and have their blood sugar under control... but i can tell you that eating raw makes a huge difference... a way better plan IMO than simply fasting.

eat raw, live your life by starting each day with a green smoothie... and see how your life looks after a year!!!

Thanks again Aleesha and StarFire for your advice! It really helped alot! By the way I'm not a diabetic, actually I have Epilepsy! Just being on the raw diet for the past 7 years I'm made huge improvement on healing my Epilepsy! It's just it's not completely healed yet! At night time about once a month I'll still have a very calm mild seizure, it only last about a few seconds and it don't effect my memory or anything! When I first got my Epilepsy I was having one about every week and maybe more. They were during the day too! Plus they were like grandma seizures- where I wouldn't hardly know where I was at when I got up or what day it was & etc!
Anyway is were the bloodsugar come in is, about 10 years ago I had hypoglycemia (low bloodsugar) before I got my Epilepsy. When I changed my diet a few years later to the raw diet, I cured my low bloodsugar problems! Is how I know I don't have low bloodsugar anymore is once in awhile, like during holidays I might eat a whole plane baked potato (that's my treat instead of the meat, dressing, pies & cake!) and it don't effect my bloodsugar at all! It would of if I was still Hypoglycemic! I guess my Mom believes I never have bloodsugar problems because I eat fruit and high fiber vegetables inleast six times a day and I don't go without any food!
Anyway, sorry so long! I just wanted to explain myself! Thanks again all of you for your help! Have a rawsome day!
