From what I know, the only way to get one with a timer is to buy it directly from Excalibur which is exactly what I did.

Did you get the white or the black? If you got the white one does it look funny with the black front? Curious :o

BTW, if you've already bought one that doesn't have a timer could you just buy one of those timers that people use to turn their lights/lamps on and plug it into that?

Now that I contacted Alissa's office I know they sell the older model without the timer. Kim said "Alissa doesn’t carry the model with the timer because when the timer is up the unit shuts off. Alissa prefers the units that continue dehydrating until you choose to turn it off."

So...who likes having the timer and who doesn't think it's that necessary (like when you're away from home, etc.)
